BLOOD ROSE

Alfred's POV

*after three days*

"I love you Alfred." Louise said and she kissed my lips.

(Louise?)

"Good bye Alfred." Then she turned around and started walking away. "Louise wait!" I ran towards her but she slowly disappeared. Then everything became black I turned around and saw Louise lying on the ground bleeding to death. "Alfred." She said as she reached out her hand. "Louise, no!"

I woke up with my hand reaching out for the ceiling. I clenched my fist and I placed it on my chest.

(That dream again. Ever since we arrived here I always have that dream.)

"Aah!" Then there was a scream outside my room. I got out of bed and opened the door. I saw Louise and Robert who is holding a sword stained with blood and a man bleeding on the ground. Louise saw me and hugged me hiding her face on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her to comfort her. "Tell me who sent you?!" Robert said as he hold the man's hair. "I'll never tell you." Then he spitted in Robert's face. "Your choice." Then Robert took a knife from his waist and stabbed it on the man's leg. "Ahh!" The man screamed in pain. "Are you willing to tell me now?" Robert said as he twist the knife. "Its..Its Master.." before the man could finish speaking arrows hit his chest and he died. Robert took his sword and knife and removed the blood and returned it to its sheath. "Robert what was that?" I asked. "A night walker. He tried to assassinate Mistress Louise who was just walking down the hall. If I wasn't patrolling and saw her. Mistress Louise must have been assassinated." Robert said as he looked at the man's body. "Louise, what are you doing walking the halls at night?" I asked as I looked at her. "I just went to the bathroom." She said and she raised her head to look back at me. "Okay. You can sleep beside me tonight." I said and she nod and entered my room. "Maids!" Robert shouted and they arrived riding with their brooms. "Please clean this mess." Then Robert pointed the body. "Oh..what happened here?" The maids asked. "I'll explain it later." Robert said As he left. "Yes sir." Then the maids used their Wands to clean the mess.

I went back inside and saw Louise still awake, sitting at the sofa. "Alfred. I can't sleep after what I saw." She said and she pouted. "Don't worry. Just close your eyes." She nod and went to bed. She closed her eyes and she fell asleep. I watched her gentle face as she sleep. I kissed her cheeks and whispered in her ears. "I love you." Then I went back to sleep.

*the next morning*

"I want three night walkers and Robert to be Louise's bodyguard." I said as I walked towards Raymond inside his office. "I know you are worried about what happened last night but you don't need to panic and summon three night walkers to guard her." Raymond said as he looked at me. "I made a mistake before, I don't want to make that mistake again."

He let out a deep sigh and removed his glasses and wiped his glasses and he put it back on. "Okay I'll send them." Raymond said and he continued fixing the papers. "Good." Then I left his office.

Louise's POV

"Mm..." I moaned softly as I slowly opened my eyes. The morning light shone in the room and I heard the birds tweeting outside. I got out of bed and I walked towards the window and went to the balcony and I saw the town. "Oh you're awake." Alfred said as he went to the balcony. He stood beside me and looked at the town. "Do you like the town?" Alfred asked. "It looks lively." I said and went back inside. Alfred followed me and hugged me from behind. "Is there something wrong?" Then he lean his head on mine. "Its nothing. I'm just hungry. Shall we eat?" I said as I turned around and I smiled at him. "Okay."

After we ate our breakfast. I went to my room. I lay down on my bed and I remembered what the man told me last night.

*last night*

(I opened my eyes and I felt my tummy pinch a little. (I better go to the toilet.) I got out of bed and I went to the bathroom. Then a man appeared before me. "Who are you?" I asked the man as my eyes widened in surprise. "You don't need to know me. I'm just here to assassinate you." Then the man grinned. "Alfred." I whispered Alfred's name as I trembled in fear. "Alfred that noble? You think he loves you? He doesn't! He loves the girl, the witch who looks just like you." The man said as he approached me. Then Robert appeared and slashed his sword on the man.)

(Alfred.. was that true?) I closed my eyes and I fell asleep.

*knock knock*

I woke up from the sound of knocks from the door. "Who's there?" I asked as I stood up. "Its me. I'm coming in." Alfred said and he opened the door. "Change your clothes I'll show you something." He said as he poked his head on the door. "I'll wait in front of the door." After he said that he closed the door. I took off my clothes and went to the shower. I wore the pink gown from the drawer and I stepped outside. I saw Robert and Alfred waiting for me. Then Alfred took my hand. "Shall we go?" I nod and followed him. We stopped in front of a door different from the others. "We are here." Then Robert opened the door. A beautiful garden was inside the room. In the middle there was a table and two chairs. "This is my favorite part of the castle." He said as we walked through the garden. We sat down on the chair and the maids placed the tea and cake on the table. "Let's have our afternoon tea in this beautiful place." Alfred said and he took a sip from his tea.

Without them knowing Zero is with them. "Well well.. having an afternoon tea.? Well you better enjoy it now because I'm afraid it won't happen again." Zero said while hanging on the ceiling transformed into a bat.

After Alfred and I finished our afternoon tea I went to the lobby and I sat on the couch. "Robert. Do you think Alfred loves me?" I asked and I looked at him. "Why do you ask?" Robert said and he sat beside me. I didn't answer him instead I stared at him. "Did you think that the whenever he looks at you all he can see is Mistress Cassandra? Well you're wrong. He did love mistress Cassandra but now he loves you. So please don't think that he doesn't love you." He said and I smiled. "I'm sorry, for doubting his love for me."

"You don't need to apologize." Then he stood up and smiled. "I'm sleepy can I go to bed early?" I said as I stood up. "Of course." I went to my room and Robert stayed outside. I went to bed and closed my eyes.

While Louise is sleeping Zero arrived from the balcony. He opened the window and went inside Louise's room. "Oh.. Sleeping beauty." Zero said as he brushed his hands on her cheek. "Mm... Alfred?" Louise opened her eyes and saw Zero sitting on her bed. "What are you.." before Louise could finish speaking Zero covered her mouth. "Mistress Louise!" Robert shouted from outside the room and tried to open the door. Zero locked the door with his powers. "Night walkers go to the balcony!" Robert ordered the night walkers and they flew. "He is persistent." Zero said and he made a barrier between them and Robert. Then Zero removed his hands from Louise's mouth. "Ah.. What do you think you're doing?!" Louise asked in an angry tone. "I'm here to leave a message." Zero said and smiled. "What message?" Louise asked then Zero carried her. "Hey! Put me down."

"This letter." Then he placed a rose and a piece of paper on the bed. Then he left carrying Louise on his shoulder.
