It was a mostly lazy Saturday. The was no practice, so Yachi could catch up on some passion projects. She had just got off the phone with Hinata, who told her that he was gonna race Kageyama again today and wanted some good luck. She told him good luck and continued with her work. She finished a section of her project when her phone ringed. It was her mother. "Yes, Mom?" "Hitoka, I'll be home really late tonight so you'll have to eat by yourself. I'll see you tomorrow, ok?" "... Yes, Mom." This was a normal occurance. She had barely had a family dinner with her mother. They would talk in the morning and on her days off, but other than that they didn't bond much. Things were different when her father was here, but he wasn't.
She hung up and went to look in the fridge to see what she would eat that night. "Ah," she said. There was nothing really appetizing in there. 'I could have the leftover meatloaf.......but I'm tired of meatloaf.........there's rice.......what else.........I could make sushi.....but, I'm lazy.......I could buy sushi.....yeah, I'll buy some sushi.' With that in mind, she put on some shoes, grabbed her purse and spare keys, and left the apartment. On her way down she said hi to the person at the desk, Melissa. Melissa had been working there ever since Yachi was 4. Melissa was from America, and taught Yachi some English whenever Yachi was at the front desk. Yachi's pretty fluent now, another reason why she tutored Hinata and Kageyama in English.
She just arrived at the convenience store and was looking in the freezer area, looking for fresh tuna roll sushi. She decided to get some other items, too, while she was here. What she did not expect coming here was running into Daichi and Sugawara while shopping. "Oh! Hi Yacchan! What are you buying?" Suga asked. "Daichi-san and Sugawara-san! Hi! I'm ju-just buying some sushi and other items, nothing too much." She cringed internally at her stuttering. Still, it was getting better, since she knew the boys more. She can remember when she first met them, wanting to freeze then run away, but sticking with it, just because she had a bi panic. Kiyoko Shimizu was too beautiful for her own good.
After saying goodbye and paying for her items, she went out of the store to start walking back home. She thought she heard horse steps, but went on. She got back to her apartment and locked the door, stepping out of her door. She put her items away, some stuff for her projects. She would still be working on them until third year, but that's okay. Yachi liked keeping herself busy. If she wasn't busy, she felt wrong.
It was 5:39pm. She ate her sushi, washed the small amount of dishes in the sink, and took a shower. She put on some pajamas and turned on her lamp. She decided to work on her project for a little while before going to bed. This was her normal. A normal, boring day. But, she couldn't stop hearing the horse. She kept thinking about it. She turned off her lamp and laid on her bed, trying to get some sleep. Her mirror look weird, and more....pretty? Or something?
She got out of bed and walked to her mirror. It was a full-length mirror that she got from her grandma. 'Nothing was wrong with it before, right?' She touched it and felt nothing. Thinking it was just her imagination, she tried to sleep again. This time she did but had a weird dream.
"Ah, my dear esteemed benefactor...My proud, beautiful flower of evil."
