"Verity, you forgot your lunch ", that's my mom. For some reason she always remembers the things I never do. And that can be a pain sometimes, especially when your relatives are over and your mom suddenly remembers the time you threw up on your aunts couch, or the time when you decided to wear you sisters makeup and shows them the "adorable" picture of you looking like a doll a rainbow threw up on. But let's admit it she really saves my but a lot! Like now, when she handed me my "uno" (that's what we call a first day of school lunch bag in our house).
I made my way downstairs, my dad is already to go.
"You need a ride kid?"
"No that's fine dad it's a lovely day I'd rather walk".
"Suit yourself kido!"
I say good bye to my dad and walk to school. School ----- it's been two months but it feels like two seconds ago that I walked through this same road. Only then, I was going home.
I'm still trying to let reality sink in.
School.
Yes.
That's where I'm going.
I approach the gates of my school, they never failed to make me seem minuscule, like they did when i was elementary, like they still do now when I'm a sophmore.Head up, straight posture and something that looks like more of a grin than a smile on my face. That's just me, I don't smile, if i see something funny, I grin, more like smirking you can say.
I immediately see kids running, wandering along the giant compound with their friends. I don't wander around like that with my friends, mainly because i 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘵 have friends.
I head to the school library. Most people find it a bore, so they usually don't come here. Even if one of many decide to come, there's a strict no talking policy. Basically that's why i hang out here, i can tell people to hush it up without being rude :)
"Ciao bella"
"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" goes the librarian.
Maya, now embarrassed pulls a chair and sits next to me. She starts talking but the librarian shushes her 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. She tried to look busy and started. Going through her books, thats when she took out her note book and started writing. Phew, I thought that I was gonna have to converse with her and actually seemed interested. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against people, but the library is 𝘮𝘦 time not 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. Suddenly, she stopped writing and "rrrrrrrriiiipppp" she tore the paper and handed it to 𝘮𝘦?
