Chapter 2

Everyone had gotten their pets.

I went into dorm 4 and found that Kai was already there.

"Hi, sorry I was being nasty earlier I just got a letter about... Never mind," she said.

I spotted a deep red cat next to her. She was scratching that cat behind the ear and I could hear it pur from where I'm standing.

"Oh um its ok! I get it...," I said nervously and I thought she was going to roll her eyes at me or something but she just smiled up at me and continued scratching the cat.

"Nice snake," she said looking at the viper wrapped around my arm.

I nodded and sat on the small but comfortable bed. I started petting the snake as it was looking at me with those bright red eyes.

"Have you gave your cat a name?"

"Yeah his names Yatulu," Kai said petting the cat.

I nodded, still petting the snake.

"I think I should name mine Sade," I said looking at those red eyes. The shape of them reminded me of Sademaras.

"Do you think I fucking c-," she cleared her throat. "That's a pretty name," said Kai and she started reading her book.

Her eyes were less puffy.

I put Sade on the little desk and she slithered up the small lamps an rested her head on top of the lamp and went still. Her eyes were still open.

"Is my snake ok?" I turned to Kai.

She shrugged.

"Snake sleep with their eyes open," I heard an unfamiliar voice say behind me.

I turned around and saw Genavila. The girl that looks so much like Sademara.

"My names Genavila," she said grinning an extended her hand.

I shook it, smiling at her.

I saw Kai roll her eyes and look intensely at her book.

"I'm just going around meeting people," Genavila said grinning.

"My names Jakayla."

"Cool! It was nice meeting you. I'll see you at lunch, Kai," said Genavila nervously and turned around and walked out.

"Do you guys I'm know eachother?" I asked looking at Kai who was frowning and looking at her book.

"Seriously you ask so many questions but yes how could I not know my perfect twin sister."

Kai and Genavila didn't look alike which reminded me a alot of me and Sademara. I shook Sademara out of my head. Kai had jet black hair and bright blue eyes while Genavila had blonde curls and bright green. Genavila was also shorter than Kai. However, they had the same facial features and they were both very beautiful.

I decide not to ask questions.

I felt something furry on my right leg and I froze and then looked down.

There was a furry red cat looking up at me with copper eyes.

"Hello Yatulu."

I knelt down and pet it. I never thought I liked cats but just petting Yatulu made me change my mind.

"When is lunch anyways," I asked.

I heard a trumpet honking.

"Now," said Kai and picked up Yatulu.
"Should I bring Sade?"

"Unless you want her to starve," she said while hugging Yatulu close and headed out the door.
I smiled. As sassy as Kai was, I was still getting good vibes from her and I knew there was more to her.
