**BTW pauls telling the story**

It's a warm, sunny day. Roger is driving. The wind is blowing through your hair. You are carefree and excited, anticipating a fun afternoon....of course your on my lap in the passenger seat. You lean back against me, your head resting on my chest. I'm laughing and making jokes, enjoying the ride as much as you are... everything is perfect in this moment..

The radio is playing a song you like, and we're both singing along, our voices blending together. Nothing else matters in this moment..and we feel invincible.. We come to a stretch of straight road, the scenery flying by in a blur. The wind blows through your hair as you cling to me, feeling the rise and fall of my breathing...we are both happy, laughing, enjoying the moment. There's a turn coming up, a fairly sharp one. Roger slows the car and begins to take the turn. We're both carefree, chatting about our day, excited to get back to the charity event... but suddenly The tires screech. We can feel the car start to lose control. The world seems to slow to a crawl. Roger tries to correct the car, turn us back on course, but it's obvious he's losing control.. We grip onto each other tightly, the terror setting in. Time seems to stretch out as we realize what's happening.... We're about to crash, and there's nothing we can do to stop it..

The car spins, the world turns into a dizzying blur. We can feel the impact as we hit something, metal on metal, glass shattering... then everything goes black...until We come to with a gasp, dazed and disoriented. The sight of fire around us jolts us immediately to awareness. The car is totaled, and we're trapped inside, surrounded by flames...Smoke fills our lungs as we struggle to get out of the car. The door is stuck, the windows are shattered. We're desperately trying to get free, but we're stuck, and the fire is closing in We can feel the heat of the flames on our skin, hear the crackling of the fire growing louder. We're coughing, calling for help, knowing that time is running out...The flames are getting closer, the heat more intense. We can feel the adrenaline coursing through our veins...we're desperate...and terrified..The sound of the fire is deafening. We're coughing, crying...and our strength is fading fast. We feel the smoke filling our lungs, the heat on our skin...We accept that we're stuck, that we're not going to make it...and we cling to each other, holding onto the only comfort we have left...each other...The heat is overwhelming now, the smoke so thick we can hardly see each other. We can feel ourselves growing weaker, our consciousness slipping away..The heat is overwhelming now, the smoke so thick we can hardly see each other. We can feel ourselves growing weaker, our consciousness slipping away..

The last moments before unconsciousness are a blur. We can feel our grip slipping, our eyelids growing heavy...the world going dark, but still we're grasping each other, refusing to let go And then comes the void. Darkness. Silence. It's over. The struggle ends, and we slip into the unknown... waiting to see what will happen next...But then there is light. A soft, warm light. We become aware again, feeling the sensation of waking up... but this isn't the same as before. We're not in the car, or in the hospital. We're somewhere else now..
