______________________________________Yagyhavi's pov:
"Come here," he said, his gaze shifting to my lap where Samay was playing with my purse.
"Come to Chachu, Samay," he called out, encouraging the little one to come to him.
Samay, hearing his Chachu's voice, looked up with a bright smile and started wriggling in my lap, eager to go to him.
I carefully lifted Samay and handed him over to Samar.
As he took Samay into his arms, his fingers lightly brushed against mine.
I glanced up at him, and he looked back, a brief moment of connection passing between us.
But then again, he looked away as he started walking away from me with Samay in his arms.
He went and sat in his chair again.
He held Samay securely in his arms, a warm, genuine smile on his face as he interacted with him.
Samay giggled and reached up to touch Samar's face, clearly enjoying the attention.
I watched the interaction, and unknowingly, a small smile appeared on my face as I saw the scene.
"So, Yagyhavi, what do you do?" I heard Dev bhai's friend, Shekhar, ask me while taking a sip of water from his glass.
"I work as a Software Developer in a company," I replied.
He nodded appreciatively.
"That sounds interesting. What kind of projects are you working on?" he asked.
"Right now, I'm working on a project related to developing a new app for managing personal finances. It's quite challenging but also very rewarding," I replied.
"That does sound interesting," he replied back.
"It's impressive how technology can make such a big impact on everyday life," he said and I nodded.
As the conversation continued, Shekhar began to shift the focus of his questions.
"Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?" he asked, leaning in a little closer as he was sitting in just front of me.
"I enjoy photography and spending time with my family. It's a nice break from the screen time I get during work," I replied taking a bite of my food.
His smile widened.
"That sounds lovely. I also like doing Photography."
"You know, I'd love to see some of your photos sometime. Maybe we could even go out and take some pictures together?" he said.
I shifted slightly in my seat, feeling a bit uncomfortable with his forwardness.
"Oh, um, that's kind of you to offer, but I usually prefer to keep my photography time private," I replied.
But he didn't seem to take the hint and said, "I understand. It's just that I think it would be fun to share that experience with someone who appreciates it as much as I do."
As he spoke, I noticed out from the corner of my eye that Samar's expression had subtly changed.
He was still holding Samay, but there was a slight tightness in his jaw and a faint flicker of something in his eyes that I couldn't quite place.
