CHRIS COULDN'T TELL, but the fans definitely could. the way he looked at her, how he let his hands ghost against her waist— literally just everything he did.
when chris gets bored he usually just goes through the comments if their most recent video, but this video he regrets everything he saw.

chris gets shopped with his female friends all the time, but this? this felt completely different then the rest— and it scares him, it really does.
he doesn't know anything about having a girlfriend, or even loving somebody that isn't his brothers or family. and they've only known each other for 2 months, he couldn't handle it at all.
chris loves darla dearly as a friend but could he see her as anything more? he doesn't know if he could ever.

"I THINK IM gonna start talking to mari again," chris says while walking into the living room. nick and matt had on edward scissorhands (nick's idea of course.)
"what!" matt says while sitting up on the cushion, looking at his brother with the most confused look ever. "like— like mari? mari mari," matt takes a sip of his root beer before quickly putting it down.
"yeah? which other one would it be.." chris mumbles while looking at his brothers awkwardly. "why the fuck would you do that?" nick finally asks while staring at his brother in shock.
"cause' i want to?" nick rolls his eyes about 5 times while running his hands over his face. "didn't she fuck you over last time?" "yeah.. but she's changed!"
"changed? why the—" matt gets cut off by chris letting out a loud groan. "can't you guys just say like 'good for you' or something?" chris quickly moves his feet against the hardwood floor and back to his room.
once chris reaches his room he slams the door shut and opens his phone to mari's instagram contact, clicking on the large message button.
