STEPPING THROUGH THE door Cameron looked around as it closed behind her. She recognised that place. She was where they had fought the final battle against Thanos. Where she had died.
Instead of all the other places she had seen, this wasn't so long ago. No, this was probably a little over a week ago. Looking around at the still destroyed place she suddenly spotted something.
Against a rock she watched as a body slowly appeared almost like flickering. And in that moment she realised that it was herself. As she fully appeared wrapped in purple ramifications she could see all the wounds still present on her body. Before she could open her eyes Cameron closed hers, knowing that it was her cue.
Slowly she blinked her eyes open, now in this 'younger' body. She slowly looked around to find herself still in the battlefield. But how was she still alive?
Breathing heavily she slowly pushed herself up and in that moment she felt a deep pain. She expected it to be her right side which she was convinced was completely burned, but as she looked at her right arm she saw purple ramifications around it as it went back to normal.
But the pain was still there, probably from the fight. She didn't know how long it had been, she didn't know she was supposed to be dead for the past six months. Slowly she stood up, helping herself up as she leaned on the rock close to her.
As she did she looked around. She was alone. There was no one else there, they had all left. Looking up she noticed that the sky wasn't as dark as it was before and when she looked around she noticed in the distance some construction trucks. She frowned in confusion as she slowly began walking.
But as soon as she did she let out a small cry of pain as her hand went to her abdomen. As she touched it and brought her hand back up she saw blood. It was the wound she had gotten on that other universe during the fight with Thanos, it had disappeared but somehow now it was back.
Trying to ignore the pain she began to walk again, but not even after a few steps she fell to the ground on her knees. She let out a loud groan as the pain in her abdomen increased and she threw her head back.
She tried to see her wound but the vest was too tight around her and she could only see the blood stain forming on it. With a groan of pain she slowly moved her hands to the vest, Yelena's vest, and slowly unzipped it. Groaning she moved her hands to her suit and slowly unzipped it, only the upper half.
Once she was done she looked down at her wound, it was worse than she thought. She had never actually clearly seen it, but she didn't expect it to be that bad. And the worst part was that Thanos had pushed the blade through her back so not only her abdomen hurt, but also her back. The wound was way too deep and the blood wouldn't stop coming.
She tried to push her hands on the wound to stop the blood and as she did so she let out a cry of pain. But the blood wouldn't stop coming. The pain intensified by the second and it was almost worse than what she had felt in that other universe.
Then she couldn't take it anymore and just like she had done in that other universe she let her powers free. The powers she had just gotten back for some reason. But this time she thankfully didn't destroy this universe.
The only thing in her mind was what she always wanted. She thought she was going to die and the last person she saw when she should've died was Bucky. It was all actually so unfair, he was right. She deserved a good life, she deserved to have a family of her own.
And with those thoughts in mind as she let her powers free, she created her own reality, her own little world. And that's how Westview was born. She could feel herself lifting from the ground as she kept letting her powers free through the pain.
She picked people all around New York, near where she was and with her powers she brought them there. Around her buildings and streets formed and slowly everything took a black and white tint, even the sky.
She created a sort of energy field to protect her city, her reality. And she controlled the minds of all the people she had forced to be in that city.
Around herself she created an house, similar to the one she used to have with Bucky in Amsterdam. And she cured herself, all her pain slowly washing away. Instead of her combat suit she created new clothes, adapted to the reality she created. A simple dress and a pair of heels.
Then as she opened her eyes she looked around herself, the house where she was in bringing a sense of comfort in her. Then she realised that she needed something, no, someone.
With one last effort she let her powers free again and in front of her a figure wrapped in purple ramifications slowly formed. A few seconds later as the purple ramifications slowly disappeared Cameron stood back straighter and looked forward.
There in front of her there was her love, her husband, Bucky. He stood there, smiling at her. Slowly she walked closer to him as a smile also formed on her face.
Suddenly she could hear soft music starting to play in the background and he offered her his hand.
"May I have this dance?", he asked her with a smile and she simply softly nodded as she took his hand.
They slowly began swaying to the music, smiling at each other softly.
Cameron looked at her own self as she stood behind the two, now back in her body. Now she knew all, or at least almost all, the things that always made her question herself.
She knew what she had done and she regretted everything, but she never actually meant to do any of those things. Slowly walking through the room she watched as there wasn't an actual wall, but instead there were chairs and lights as if it was a stage. It was all fake.
"Good job, now you know", she suddenly heard a voice behind and she quickly turned around to see her back.
