Ahh. I’m finally ready. I glance at myself in the mirror, adjusting my suit. Today is important—I have a crucial meeting that could determine the future of my project. I’ve spent the past four weeks working tirelessly on this, and any mistake could mean a huge loss. The Shim Yo company is a big deal.

I hear movement from the bed and turn to see my sweet little baby—Lee Y/N—waking up, rubbing her eyes cutely.

"Koo, you aren’t going to the office today, huh?" she mumbles in a sleepy voice.

"I have a very important meeting today, remember? I told you. I really need you to wish me luck." I walk over to her with a gentle smile.

"Come on, I’ve set your breakfast on the table. Let’s get you freshened up first. After that, we’ll eat together, and I’ll drop you home myself. I didn’t call a driver because I wanted to do it personally."

Still half-asleep, Y/N gets up, but she stumbles and—bam—walks straight into the wall. Tears well up in her eyes, and I immediately rush to her side, dropping my file on the table. I grab the first-aid kit and tend to the small wound on her hand.

"You’ll always be my little girl," I chuckle, kissing her forehead. But deep inside, a strange fear grips me. Everything needs to go smoothly today.

"Baby, take care of yourself." I press a quick kiss to Y/N’s forehead before heading out. She waves me off with a sweet smile.

Upon arriving at the office, my employees greet me with their usual "Good morning, Mr. Jeon," but I don’t respond. My mind is completely focused on the meeting that starts in ten minutes.

Inside my office, I sit down and take a deep breath. But as I reach for my file—my heart stops. It’s not here.

"No. No, this can’t be happening." Panic grips me as I slam my hands on the desk. Just then, the door creaks open, and Jin steps in, startled by my reaction.

"Hey, what’s wrong? Why are you so tense?" He hands me a glass of water, trying to calm me down.

"Jin… I forgot the file."

"No problem. Y/N will bring it. She always has your back."

"But the house is far! The meeting is about to start. How will she get here in time?" I run a shaky hand through my hair as Jin calmly pulls out his phone and dials Y/N.

"What?! Ok, I’m coming!" I shout, rushing to grab the file.

Mom hears the commotion and steps in. "Dear, what happened? Who was that?"

"Mom, Koo forgot his important file, and his meeting is about to start any minute!"

"Then don’t waste time. Take the file and go quickly," she urges.

I nod, rushing out of the house, my heartbeat hammering in my chest. This file is crucial. I have to make it in time.

I sit at the meeting table, anxiety eating away at me. The investors and executives are waiting, and my secretary keeps calling, but I’m stalling—making excuses.

Finally, the company’s director, Shim Yo, speaks up. "Mr. Jeon, we’re honored to collaborate with you. I believe we’ll be great partners."

I nod, forcing a polite smile. "Yes, I’m also looking forward to this partnership. Before we start, let’s get to know each other’s companies a little better."

I need to buy time.

Shim Yo chuckles. "That’s a great idea. Money isn’t everything, after all."

Fifteen minutes pass. We’ve talked about everything except the project, but I can’t delay anymore. I stand up to present, heart pounding. Where is Y/N? I can’t do this without the file.

Shim Yo stands abruptly, his expression dark. "Mr. Jeon, we’ve introduced our companies, but you haven’t addressed the main project details."

I swallow hard. "The thing is… my file was left at home. My assistant is on her way with it—she’ll be here in ten minutes, and we can—"

"Mr. Jeon!" Shim Yo’s voice booms, making the room go silent. "If you can’t even manage a single file, how do you expect to manage an entire project? I made a mistake. This deal should have gone to Mr. Kim’s company."

I freeze.

"I’m leaving, and I won’t be coming back," Shim Yo declares before storming out.

The weight of failure crashes down on me.

Just then, Y/N bursts in, holding the file. "Koo, is it—?"

I shake my head quickly, forcing a smile. "Yn, let’s go to the amusement park."

"But your meeting—"

"Nothing. Let’s go." I take her hand, determined not to let my failure ruin our day.

Y/N squeezes his hand. "Jungkook, you always know how to cheer me up."

They challenge their fears on the roller coaster, scream, laugh, and create beautiful memories. As the sun sets, they sit by a fountain, enjoying the peace.

Jungkook gazes at Y/N with adoration. "Today was incredible. Thank you for being by my side."

But little do they know, this happiness is only temporary. A storm is coming—a storm that will change everything.

Shim Yo nods. "It was easy. The deal is ruined."

I toss him a bundle of cash. "Take this and never step foot in this company again."

He leaves, and I turn to my desk, pulling out a picture of Y/N. My angel.

I trace her face with my fingers, my smirk widening. "She’s beautiful. Her eyes, her nose, her smile… everything about her is perfect."

A dark chuckle escapes me. "I think… I’m obsessed."

But soon, she’ll be mine.
