The stories said that there will be a girl whose powers will be dangerous, because she doesn't belong to one kingdom, but to both...a combination between good and evil, life and death, light and darkness, Elvandar and Lumar!
Some were searching for her, thinking that she will be the change, a balance, the one that stands above the line between life and death, but some were envious of her supremacy!
The royal families spent years of searching for her, but she was nowhere to be found, till one night, when everything changed...
Kai, the prince of Lumar was looking at the full moon, when a silhouette with an angelic voice started to call him...
He went after it, for finding a beautiful girl with golden hair and a pair of emerald green eyes smiling at him!
He couldn't move, he froze...she was mesmerizing, fascinating, captivating and he fell for her charm.
The prince fell into her trap, falling deeply in love, thinking that she was the girl he heard stories about, and took her to his kingdom.
When the king of Elvandar found out, he was angry,because the stories were clear,she was the one who will make the difference and will fight against the bad that is hiding in the darkness, ready for destroying everything in its path!But no one knew whose side she will be on...
The king considered it a betrayal by the Lumar kingdom against the Elvandar, and declared war!
In that night, a lot of lives died and darkness fell on the two kingdoms!
Kai was ready to fight, when the girl stopped him and said that she knows a way to stop everything, but he needs to follow her!
He accepted and went after her, until he reached a dark cave in which there was a chest...
She confessed to him that her powers are hidden there and without them she cannot fight, but the chest can only be opened by a Lumar from the royal family!
He believed her, but when he approached the chest, she stabbed him, transforming into her true appearance. She was a witch!
"OH...poor prince, you were such an easy target...your parents will be so disappointed!'' she said laughing evilly
"Who are...you?" Kai said with the only strength left in his body.
"You can call me Esmeralda, you won't forget this name anyway, poor prince, but I think I need to thank you more properly for your help!" The witch took out the dagger from him and put it with his black blood in the keyhole of the chest.
"If I'd know that you were the easiest target, I'd have tried with you first, sadly...I can't say the same thing about your father!"
Before he could say anything else, the chest opened and a portal started to create it.
"What is that?" the prince asked
"You'll find soon, your majes-"
"Kai! No! What have you done?" The king and the queen interrupted her
"King Kian, a pleasure to see you again, but you can't stop me this time, I'll have the supremacy!"
"No, you wicked witch, this will never gonna happen... over my dead body!" The king have said
'' I'm counting on this!" She said, before taking out her dagger, but the queen came between them and she was stabbed, gasping for air, as her soul was leaving her body, but with hers and king's last drop of power, they closed the portal, sacrificing their lives...
When Kai woke up, he was in his chambers and he believed that it was just a nightmare! But when the consuls came in the palace for their meeting, he realized that everything was real...his parents died! They sacrificed themselves for his foolishness...he wasn't prepared to be a king, he couldn't be one, because of him, the kingdom almost disappeared...
One week after his coronation, he felt a pain in his chest and fell down. Something inside him was burning, his eyes were starting to close and everything turned black! When he woke up, he was in the Myrkvior forest, covered in blood and naked! He couldn't remember anything, but then...he heard a voice in the dark
"Glad to see you again poor prince." Esmeralda stood in front of him
"Didn't you think I let you live your life peacefully when you ruined everything, did you?"
"What did you do to me?" Kai said
"Take it as a gift from your ex lover, your majesty or...should I say...your highness?!" She said
"You are nothing to me!"
"Really? That's not what you said some weeks ago...you were ready to give me everything I wanted after some hours spending in your chambers!" Esmeralda walked across him.
"What did you do?" Kai asked, his voice getting rough and deep
"Just an inoffensive curse, but don't worry, you said that you love the full moon, so I gave you another view, a better one, for seeing it, you can thank me later!" She said, looking in his eyes. "But I'm not that cruel, you were my favorite after all, so, I'm gonna give you a little hint, mark my words, poor prince!"
"Where the light and the darkness meet each other
And the life and death are tied up
You can break your curse, only if it's repeating the past
But be careful and listen close...
When the candle will go out
Your life and the Kingdom will be nowhere to be found" Esmeralda said, before disappearing in the dark!
