"You have been invited to the masquerade ball that will be organized tonight at 7 o'clock in honor of the 25th birthday of his highness, King Kai of Lumar! We hope you can dignify us with your presence!" Aradia's dad's butler read holding the invitation made of darkness and stardust.

Elvandar and Lumar were enemies since that bloody night that changed everything...for a while, they signed a contract that said not to resort to an attack against the other, but it didn't mean that they were friends and this invitation came with suspicions and questions.

"We won't go, right?" Aradia asked her father, his highness.

"We don't have another solution, for the past years, our kingdom was seen with bad eyes, since we were the ones who started the war and maybe this ball will show that we have peaceful thoughts...we still need their help for the Myrkvior forest...the creatures from there are thirsty for blood and the connection they have with us is too strong, they can invade us at any moment." The king answered.

"But they were the ones who started when they wanted to use the chosen one against us!" Aradia said getting angry...this was the only thing she wanted to do...to go to the enemy kingdom for attending the birthday of that horrible and insufferable king! If she could, she would stab him over and over again...he was a DEMON, death itself!

"Exactly dear, but no one knows this part of the story, we need their help...we can't repeat the same mistake twice, we can't afford this!" The king spoke, before leaving in his chambers

                                                                                               *

"Soph, what should I do? I don't wanna go!"

"Ara, you trained all your life for this situation, for facing the king of Lumar, don't let him think that he's scaring you, be a powerful princess, be mutual, be a fighter! I know what you're capable of, nothing can scare you, remember?" Sophia, Aradia's bestfriend and also her trainer said

"Yes, I remember!" She said

"Good and don't forget your mission! From my lately research, I found out that the forbidden book is hidden in Lumar's library...and the king's birthday is the perfect opportunity to get in the library unnoticed! We don't have another chance, Ara!" Sophia said tying her curly red hair in an elegant and messy bun and searching for the perfect gown for Aradia, until her hazel nasty eyes have laid on a light blue dress like the sky at noon! It was made of cotton, looking both elegant, but also breathtaking at first sight...making everyone who wears it looking like a goddess, but at the same time it allows you to move like a panther!

"I hope you realize I'm going there for stealing a forbidden book, which I'm not supposed to do...the book being too powerful for everyone that is holding, because it contains all the secrets of the world and not for seducing the king!" Aradia said, glaring at Sophia.

"I didn't suggest to seduce the king, but this will make our plan easier...if he loves you, he will let you in the library, without any explica-"
"Lord, Sophia, are you hearing yourself? I'd never do such thing...I'll rather die, being stabbed in the heart for a thousand times, than even thinking at this!" She cut her words

"I was just joking, but you never saw him, who knows...maybe he's-" Sophia said, but got interrupted again

"Fine, this conversation is ending here!" Aradia got up for leaving, but Sophia stopped her...

"You're not going anywhere, till you don't dress in this beautiful and perfect gown!"

After some time, the door of Sophia's chambers opened, showing an extraordinarily wonderful Aradia in front! Her silver-white hair is loose, forming curls that take your breath away! The gown made her look like a real queen, bringing out all her features! Her blue eyes matched the dress perfectly, giving off the allure of the ocean and anyone who looked into them could easily get lost!

"You are...perfect!" Sophia said, being speechless

"Not yet!" Aradia spoke, before reaching for her dagger and hiding at her ankle, the gown covering it, making it unidentifiable.

"Are you ready?"

"If I will say no, I can stay here and not going anymore?" Aradia asked, with her pretty eyes

"NO!" Sophia answered

"Then, I am!"
"Good!"
