Yagyhavi's pov:

"Shekhar," I said, recognizing him as he stepped into the light.

"What are you doing here, all alone?" he asked, his tone casual yet curious.

"Um, I just needed some fresh air, that's why I came here," I replied, taking a step back to maintain a proper distance.

His gaze lingered on me, and he shrugged.

"Same here. I needed a break from the party. It's been a bit overwhelming," he replied.

I nodded.

"I see. Well, I'm sure the others will be out soon," I said, trying to end the conversation.

He nodded in agreement but didn't move.

His presence felt oddly tense, and I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to his being here than just needing a break.

"You know, Yagyhavi," he said, taking a step towards me, his voice low, "I've tried talking to you at the dinner table, tried to have more conversation with you, but you never seemed interested."

"I was hoping maybe we could get to know each other better."

"And see now, it seems like the perfect opportunity," he said.

I took another step back, trying to keep the conversation from escalating.

"I appreciate the thought, but I'm really just here to get some fresh air. I'm not in the mood for socializing," I replied.

His smile remained, hearing my answer, but there was a glint in his eye that made me uneasy.

"Oh, come on. It's just a chat. Nothing serious. I think we could have a great time getting to know each other," he said.

His proximity and persistence was now making me a bit uncomfortable.

"Come on, don't be like that. It's not every day I get a chance to talk to someone as intriguing as you," he said again.

The flirtatious undertone of his words and the way he was inching closer made me took another step back.

I glanced back toward the restaurant, hoping my friends would come out soon to end this awkward encounter.

"Look, Shekhar," I said firmly, trying to regain my composure.

"I'm really not interested in any sort of conversation right now."

"And, I really need you to respect my space," I said firmly, trying to keep my voice steady.

His smile faltered slightly, a hint of frustration flashing in his eyes, but he quickly recovered.

"Alright, if that's what you want. I just thought I'd make the night a little more interesting," he said, and took a step back.

As he finally backed off, I let out a sigh of relief.

Without saying another word, I started walking, deciding it would be better to wait for my friends in the more crowded area rather than lingering alone in this quiet spot.

But as I began to move, he suddenly came and stood in front of me making me stop.

"Where are you going?" he asked, his voice taking on a more insistent tone.
