Prologue: The Start of a New

Act 1: What Had Happened

Sonic's World
Dr. Eggman's Base
Some month, some day, some time

After countless defeats to that blue rodent, Dr. Eggman finally loses it and quits. He realizes that it all ends with him losing, and no matter how close he gets, he always loses. This sent him in a month of depression, reaching no conclusion. Until today. Dr. Eggman can be seen sitting in front of his desk and monitors, which became really messy.

Dr. Eggman: "Grah! I hate that hedgehog! I tried everything. I really did! Nothing works! I always lose, even when I think my plans are perfect, that HEDGEHOG always foils it. All I want is for the world to be mine! Is it that much to ask for?! Hahahah! HAHAHAHAHAH!"
(Orbot and Cubot takes a peek from outside of the room.)
Cubot: "Is he okay?"
Orbot: "You tell me! The boss has been at this for months! Look at how messy his room is. So much paper and trash!"
(Sage appears to be next to her father, trying to comfort him)
Sage: "There there... Father, we must not give up. The world is yours to rule, you just need some time."
Dr. Eggman: "*sigh* I know that, Sage... But something tells me that won't happen. We've been going on at this dance for so long and no matter how close I get, I always end up losing! Just what did I do to deserve this?!"
Sage: "..."
Dr. Eggman: "You know what?! That's it. I'm done with this "villain" shenanigans! No more! I'll find something better than to build Eggmanland!"
Sage: "?!"
Orbot: "What?!"
Cubot: "The boss wants to quit?! But..."
(Dr. Eggman takes off his glasses)
Dr. Eggman: "I'm shutting down everything, the Eggnet, and all of my base operations except this one and another one! That's it! Sonic's won! I. GIVE. UP!"
Sage: "But father..."
Dr. Eggman: "Yes, I know, dear. It's something I shouldn't say around easily."
Sage: "Whatever you say, Father... You do have the supreme authority over all of us, afterall. But father, what would you do next if it isn't trying to take over the world?"
Dr. Eggman: "I have an idea, but this would be a stretch."
Orbot: "I mean, with his frequent failures, I'm not too surprised."
Cubot: "Yeah! He's bound to break one point."
Orbot: "If it isn't for his villainy, what would he do next? Perhaps he'll become a carpenter again like that one time!"
Cubot: "Maybe..."
(Dr. Eggman then proceeds to shut down his bases, one by one.)
Dr. Eggman: "Now, time to erase the Eggnet. Now we have all the Badniks and bases destroyed, except for the ones here, and the second base."
(The Eggnet database has been successfully deleted)
Dr. Eggman: "Finally. It's all over."
Orbot: "Great job, boss."
Cubot: "Yeah, I guess..."
Sage: "Hmm... What now, father?"
Dr. Eggman: "Heheh. Gather up, I'll tell you all my plan now."
(The Doctor proceeds to tell his robot flunkies on what to do next, becoming a teacher.)
(Little does he know, this decision will change his life and perspective on life, forever.)
Orbot: "A teacher...?"
Cubot: "I thought you gave up on that so long ago!"
Dr. Eggman: "Precisely! After months of thinking of a new plan, I get reminded of what I said to myself. "Perhaps I'll become a school teacher or something!". So I will!"
Orbot: "But, how could you achieve that?"
Cubot: "Yeah!"
Dr. Eggman: "Well, I have a degree in teaching, you know? Before I wanted to rule the world, I wanted to be a teacher!"
Sage: "Well... If that's what you want, father... We'll be here to support you."
Dr. Eggman: "Thanks, you three."
Orbot: "(Psst! Did he just say... thanks to us, too?!)"
Cubot: "(I guess he really is turning good again, like that one time!)"
Orbot: "Well, we'd be sure to support any decision you do, boss!"
Dr. Eggman: "Before that, I'd like to make an announcement to them."
(Dr. Eggman proceeds to write a few letters and notes, that would then be given to Sonic and the rest.)
(Sonic can be seen resting under a tree, on a small hill.)
Sage: "Greetings, Sonic. My father's worst enemy."
Sonic: "What is it this time?!"
(Sage hands over the paper, with a gif of The Doctor speaking in said paper.)
Sonic: "Huh? What's this?"
