Chapter 10
Friday

Things had seemed to ease up. Gina and Kehlani were back on good terms. Kehlani took a backseat on the Xanax, realizing that maybe that wasn't the best decision, feeling herself become more like her mother, which she hated.

The aggression, the fighting, the never-ending drama. Gina completely cut Cash off for good this time. In her spare time, she went to the police department to file a claim on the incident, but it was no use. There was nothing that could be done on their end, and Gina had no evidence to prove what she said was true.

"Where were you early this morning?" Kehlani asked as she heard Gina come through the door. Gina smiled nervously.

Coming up with a lie to her, Gina came around to the sitting next to Kehlani.

"Oh nothing, I mean nowhere. Just had to make a couple of stops here and there."

Kehlani eyed her suspiciously. "You're such a bad liar," Kehlani laughed, shaking her head.

"Am not!"

"You are, but you're cute, so I'll give you a pass."

Kehlani kissed her cheek, getting up from the couch, heading towards the bathroom. They weren't official yet, but Kehlani was moments waitin' for the perfect time to ask Gina to be her girlfriend.

It had been a long day for Kehlani working an 11-hour shift for overtime. She turned on the water waiting for it to get the perfect temperature of hot before stepping in and turning on the showerhead.

Gina came home not long after Kehlani got into the shower. Being that their schedules weren't always perfectly aligned Gina felt that she hadn't gotten to see her friend all week.

Stripping down to her bare skin and letting her hair fall to her waist from being in a high ponytail braid. She walked freely out of her and across the condo to Kehlani's room she walked into the bathroom not caring if she was heard or not. She slid the sliding door open briefly letting cool air into the shower. Kehlani stood underneath the showerhead with her face covered.

"you okay?" Gina asked concerned.

"Yes," she dropped her hands to her side, stepping from the showerhead.

"I just like the way the water feels running down my back" she continued her lips forming into a smirk. she nodded returning the same smirk.

Kehlani took her time admiring Gina's flawless silhouette. Gina blushed stepping closer.

"Is it okay if I join you?"

Mesmerized by the sight of Gina, Kehlani wasn't fully paying attention to her question all she heard was noise.

"No"

"No?" Gina frowned feeling embarrassed.

"No? Yes." Kehlani corrected herself lettering out a small nervous chuckle.

She leaned against the cold white porcelain walls letting Gina wash up. Kehlani tried not to stare so much but it was impossible to do when she was right in front. And as much as she was tired she didn't mind missing out on some sleep for her.

Signaling for Kehlani to come join her under the showerhead, she didn't waste a second to be close to her. Body to body kehlani placed her hands on Gina's jawline pulling her in for a kiss, passionately, deepening the kiss Gina kissed her long and slow, running her tongue across Keh's bottom lip, allowing her access.

Their bodies pressed against each other, the heat between them rising as their kisses grew more intense. Kehlani's hands slid down Gina's back, pulling her closer as they moved in perfect harmony. Gasping for breath, they finally pulled apart, their eyes locking in a moment of pure connection giving each other butterflies.
