Tom is actually twins
No I don't mean he's a twin
No I don't mean he's a conjoined twin (well- he sort of is??- idk how to describe it-)

Tom is actually two of Bill's siblings
When they left their 2D world with Bill because he wanted to show them the stars and so that they'll be free, there was...some complications when they went out, instead of but two separate people, the two twins would combine into one person, becoming Tom Cipher

Bill promised that he could separate the two, but he never fulfilled that promise..
