Mary was preparing her suitcases to leave for the big city to go back home

" Come back home fast , you're grandfather has been found dead , hurry ! "
Mary was shocked at the sudden sorrowfull news , she knew she needed to take a deep breath fast before doing anything without thinking of a second thought , that's her flaw number one , she was kinda careless at studies , tests and even work but right now she had to think first .
" Alright , mom , I'll come home fast as possible I can , love you ♡ "
She then quickly packed her suitcases , looking for formal black dress to wear at the funeral .
" Too flashy for a funeral , too club vibes for my grandfather funeral , why do I not have proper modest dresses , argh ! "
She was digging through the clothes she had , throwing away the ones she dislikes finally she decided on a black dress with flowy sleeves and under the knees , can't give grandmama a heart attack .

he looked through her shoes on what to bring , sge decided on a mary jane shoe , some comfy slippers , a few dine out shoes and then put in the suitcase , she then moved on her skincare and makeup , it wasn't much so she packed all.

She started driving as she was burdened with the loss of her grandfather , she keep thinking , " Why , why did this happen and what disease was that took my grandfather's life "
Robert Lawson Whight was her grandfather , she always thought he was a healthly man with a great lifestyle , her grandfather was a great man that served in the army , providing his wife and kids but to be honest , he was a smoker and her grandmother Alison Ruby Whight was a waitress in her teens , serving at a diner and that's how she met grandpa .
Mary was always weird out by the age gap but whatever it was the past and the past had different game rules then now she thought .
She stopped at a gas station since she was driving for a long hefty time now , she filled the gas tanks and moved on driving .

Mary finally arived at town and was left stunned at how deppressing the town , she was in her own world as she kept feeling burden not only with her grandfather death but now the cheerful town now loud with slience , she waked up to reality as her older brother Benison swatted her head , her face grimaces as she looked at her brother
" What was that for ? Dimwit , always using violence as a red bull " said Mary who was rubbing her head where it was swatted
" Hurry and dress up properly , we aren't going to start the funeral with you standing like a idiot " said Benison who had a teared up face probably from the death of their grandfather
Mary felt guilty as she called him a dimwit , she thought grandfather died of old age or something that old people died with , she was not a expert with the medical field .
" What's wrong ? I'm sorry I bluntly insulted you but you didn't had to swat me and didn't grandpa died of old age " said Mary who had a worry face mixed with a confuse faced .
" No , its ... uhm .... well , just get ready already ! " said Benison who was unabled to tell the truth and instead told his younger sister to hurry up .
" Jeez , alright , must you be so hasty but alright " said Mary as she walked into the home and then to her room and changed into the dress and mary jane shoes .
She walked downstairs as she looked at the family members , neighbours , friends , she sigh as she took a seat next to her grandma Alison who was crying a river , she was not really a comfort person .
" Why ? Why ? Robby have you decided to leave us you're family so early ? We haven't even cross off some of our goals we had in mind " said Alison who was hugging the casket .
" Grandma , please stop crying , everything will be alright " said Mary as she reassure her grandma who was crying .
" oh sweetie you came , you're grandpa has decided to leave us for a forever resting place , I know I shouldn't be crying as much as this the way of life but ohhh he was my Robby " said Alison who was crying as she looked at her granddaughter.

Now it was time for a burial , grandma Alison had planned to bury her husband in their backyard as it was close to mourn when ever she felt like mourning.
Flowers were dropped as the casket was dropped now it was fully buried though a cemented look with the shining grave stone will take a while .
No one didn't wanted to tell Mary the true cause of her grandfather death , that left her frustrated , she left out a huff as she knew she had to find out why her grandfather died myteriously .
" I must do something about this but first I need a nap and snack break " said Mary as her stomach grumble .
She walked downstair to the kitchen snack drawer to find only protein bars and protein shake powders , she was immediately annoyed as she knew her younger sister Vivian Kaycee Whight was all about balanced diet and dieting , all that stuffs .
" Vivi ! Why did you put you're freaking diet snack s in the snack drawer , you know damn well its for junk food ! " said Mary who was hangry with a wrinkled like face .
Vivian was pretending to play a electric guitar as she walked down the stairs as she listen to her songs through headphones , clearly ignoring her sister .
" Na na na " mumbled Vivian as she was not aware of her sister scoldings as she pretend to play the electric guitar , she put off her headphones as she saw Mary annoyed face .
" What's wrong ? You look like a dishcloth thrown in a hamper " said Vivian as she looked at Mary with confusion.
Mary let out a huff and left Vivian dumbfound as she knew bickering is no use and grab her coat to go to the store to buy snacks .
Vivian was left dumbfounded but she went on listening to her playlists of songs as she played the pretend electric guitar .
At the store
Mary looked at the platter of options of snacks -- Lays , oreos , caramel bites , ohh and some ince creams . Mary had chosen butterscotch ice cream tub with some chocolate chips cookies .
Mary paid the cashier and went home and snack on them delicious food before she do some detective shits.
