Lillie’s POV

The sound of footsteps thundered, coming closer towards my. My heart quickened and my legs urged onward. I ran around the corner into an alley. I crazily looked around for an exit, but there was none. I had run into a dead end. Like a wild animal I sprinted to the very back corner. I climbed on a box crate and tried to reach the edge of the fence, which was just out of reach! Dang fence! Why do you have to be here!

My heart was jumping out of my chest and I was scared out of mind. Finally! My hands caught onto the top and I stated to pull myself up and over. A rough hand grabbed my only foot that was still on the other side. The hand started to pull, dragging me back over.

With all my strength I resisted and managed to kick the face of the hands owner and was released. I fell hard on the concrete, losing the air left in my lungs.

I heard the fence rattle as my chaser started to climb over. Hobbling to my feet I took off again with zero energy. Some how, I managed to get some distance between us but not for long.

I need to find people! My mind was scrambling to think of the closest busy street. Taking a hard right I sprinted in the direction I new was the university.

I heard the whizzing of my chaser behind me. Being a track star I could easily keep this pace and hopefully lose the chaser. But that was hope and I couldn't put all my money on that.

After a couple blocks I could still here them, still close behind. Where is everyone? The streets are never this deserted! A crack appeared in front of my foot and I hit the ground, hard. Gasping I struggled to me feet again but a body stops me from moving.

"You're not going anywhere, beautiful." death whispered in my ear.

My hair was gathered up and I was pulled to my feet forcefully. A small scream escaped my mouth and the killer laughed.

Something was driven into my chest and I was thrown head first into a brick wall........

A scream echoed around my head. Was that mine? No, it can't be, I can't even feel my lips......

The sound of sirens filled the air and I was annoyed. The noise was so loud! Why can't I rest peacefully......

"Lillie! No!" who was that? The voice sounded so familiar and I swear it's someone important. Oh well, I'm too tired to think anyway. Later, I'll think about it. Yeah, that's a good idea......

Now it's time to sleep. I hope my mom has pancakes when I wake up! That would be awesome.

Ten Hours Earlier

Jason POV

I watched as Lillie walked out to her car. Her chocolate brown curls wiped around her face causing her to angrily swat at her hair. Laughing, I quickly ran to catch up to her, mostly to tease her but also because she was my ride home.

I slowed down and crept up behind her. She hasn’t noticed me yet and I was right behind her. I squeezed her sides and jumped away. Almost instantly Lillie swung around aiming for her victim. Luckily I knew she would do that and didn’t get hit, yet.

“Jason! Get back here!” She lunged for me. Laughing I skipped away from her.

“Come on Lillie! I thought you were a track star. Can’t you keep up with me?” Woops, bad idea to taunt her. Lillie narrowed her venomous glare at me. Then like a flash of lightening she ran straight for me and tackled me to the ground, all taking about a few seconds. Laying on top of me she flashed a victorious smirk at me.
