Part 36: Investigation

SHUICHIS POV:

It was about 6 a.m when I woke up. It was raining heavily outside and the mood just was..depressing in some kind of way. I walked to the kitchen quietly and made myself a coffee, but because of that I accidentally woke up my uncle. He came to me and actually looked really awake. Well he is used to sleeping only some hour every day, soo yeah.

Uncle Peter also made himself a coffee and we both sat down on the couch. I yawned and uncle Peter already put out the notes of the things we found out yesterday. "We should go to the place where he always changed his identity today. Maybe we can force the person who helped him with that to talk." I nodded and drank my coffee while he continued to talk. "Luckily this place is only some minutes away from here. I'll definitely bring my weapon with me just for safety. Also we should bring some money with us. Because that idiot even has a café he goes to often. So we just put on some normal clothes. Got it?" "Got it" I answered and then stood up, put my empty cup in the sink and then went to my room. I then changed my clothes and styled my hair a bit differently. As I looked at myself in the mirror I chuckled a bit. Kokichi definitely would laugh at me for looking like this. Especially since I never style my hair like that and never wear orange. After I was finished, I then came out of my room, to see my uncle already being ready. "Hey, you look good. Well let's go. For the whole mission you're my son. I'll try to "befriend" Tom at the café. Then I'll try to get closer to him with the excuse that we both also want to get some revenge and things. You know. The usual thing." I nodded and then we both went to my uncles car, got in and drove to the suspicious "store".

As we entered, everything seemed to look normal. But my uncle and I found out, that you have to say a specific sentence to the shopkeeper, because then he will lead you to a room where he will talk to you in secret and ask you what you want. And that's exactly what we will do. The shopkeeper does everything for money, so maybe he will betray Tom and tell us some information. Me and Peter went to the shopkeeper. "Hello what can I do for you?" "Oh I just need some help with my life, you know.." my uncle said and he quickly looked up at us, then looked around and nodded. He got up from his seat and leaded us to a room in the basement. Just as we expected. He sent a coworker to his work place and then sat down at the table and said to us that we should sit down as well. So we did it. He then already put some files out and smirked at us. "What do you need? A fake identity? Fake money? Help with a murder? Or anything else?" My uncle fixed his tie and then looked into the shopkeepers eyes. "Actually we want to ask for information about Tom bright. Could you give us some?"

"Tom bright? Oh sorry but he's a good customer of mine who pays well, so no." "You sure?" My uncle said and put a lot of money on the table. The shopkeepers eyes widened for a moment but he quickly nodded. "Yes I'm sure. He pays way better and I made millions because of him so don't think I will give you informations." My uncle nodded and then sighed. "Well the we won't put of the handcuffs you have in your hands."  "Wich handcuffs-" the shopkeeper asked confused before he tried to move and feel that his hands were handcuffed to the chair he was sitting on. I smirked and showed him the keys to them. "What?! When did you-" "when you looked under the table cause one of the files fell on the floor shuichi here put them on." "But how didn't I notice?!"

"That's easy. Cause when we shook hands I put a cream on your hands that makes your hands numb."

The shopkeeper was speechless. He quickly looked around to search for something but he couldn't find anything that would be able to help him. "So..either you will tell us everything you know",I started and stood up from my seat, "Or we will report you to the police. We have all the files, also I recorded our talk the whole time. So either you talk, or you go to prison."

His body started to shake and he nodded quickly. "Okay, OKAY! I'll tell you everything! Just don't report me!" I nodded and sit back down. "Then please start."

"Okay okay, so Tom bright uses my service since I started. He changed his identity like..over sixty times. I always helped him with the things he needed. Like where he can get good weapons and shit like that. For that he always paid me well. Uhm..he usually buys his weapons at the shop of a partner of mine. The "candy fancy". He also usually has a fake family that I give him for his special mission."

"What's his next mission. What does he exactly plan?"

"Well, he plans to kill someone named Kokichi or something. His plan is to drown him or something. He wants to get poison first though. He also wants to buy the best cleaning products and things! He has a partner for it..I don't know who though, I swear!! So, so..that's all I know! I'm only the one who makes him a new identity! Nothing more! If..if you want to know ,for you have to ask my partner!"

"Alright..thanks for the information" my uncle said and then stood up with me. He then released the handcuffs from him, making him think that he actually is free. But just as we two got to the door I turned to him. I smiled charmingly, before opening the door, letting the police workers in. His eyes widened and he quickly tries to run away but it was too late. The police caught him and arrested him. "YOU BASTARDS! I GAVE YOU THE INFORMATION YOU NEEDED!"

"I know",my uncle said and then turned to him, lifting his jacket a bit revealing his detective brand. The shopkeeper started to shout more but the police man just put him in the car. "Good work you too." A police woman said and nodded at us. After they were gone my uncle breathed out deeply and smiled at me. "We came a bit closer to our target. It's good that we work with the police." "It is." I said and got into his car. After a time he then drove off, in the direction of the shop called "candy fancy".

And after about thirty minutes we arrived..
