Where is Pinnacle ?!! The warden of Slate way maximum security demanded from his guards but by the time he arrived at cell block H's atrium, his questioning was answered. Daniel aka Captain Pinnacle was chumming it up with the inmates. During his short-lived stay at the facility, he seems to make friends, and rather easily one might add. The surviving son of Millennium city had befriended just about every cell occupant one could imagine. During his stay, the gangs kept to themselves, riotings had ceased, just about everything was at peace. Maybe it was just his presence that made the difference, but when the warden received word from the governor about his immediate release, he wondered if the prisons period of tranquility would all but disappear once the Captain was gone.
"You gotta promise me, Captain." "Promise you what warden" Daniel replied, with a sort of half smile. " promise to come back and finish my sentence?" He continued, folding his massive arms across his thick chest. "No, you've got a full pardon from downstate." But, you know how things can get once you leave here." "Can I count on you to come back and help out if it does?" "Not a problem warden, I'd be glad to help." The warden began to be more at ease. Captain Pinnacle's presence meant a lot to him, as well as the other inmates. Just as they were finishing up, a small knock began at the office door. "Come in ." The warden said. It was his blonde secretary Allison, she reminded Daniel of the song Maggy Mae by Rod Stewart. She was carrying box marked with only an archangel on its top. "This just came for you, Captain." She said smiling in a sort of flirtatious way. Daniel returned the smile and opened the lid to the box. Inside of it was his old uniform, but with a few new color modifications. A bright orange cape lined inside with gold, and orange boots with gold trimming at the top of them. This made it pop even more he thought to himself. It took only seconds to spin around, and he was fully dressed in the uniform. The cape still draped off of his left shoulder like before, but he was truly digging the orange against the old fashioned blue. He laughed a little himself.
Not soon after, Daniel, Captain Pinnacle, was being escorted to the main yard. His short-lived stay at the facility had left a lasting positive impression on just about everyone he came in contact with. Even the office, and medical staff would miss his now calming presence. Never the less, Millennium City was in trouble, and his great power was needed once more. "Oh", before I forget, the inmates wanted to know if it would be asking too much to have pizza every now and then". Daniel said as he began looking towards the sky and city skyline. "I'll consider it." The warden replied. " Uh, you might want to step back a bit? Daniel said agreeing to warden Slates request and took off into the air leaving a slight imprint from the force of his lift off, but once he got high enough, his sonic boom could have been heard for at least several miles away. In minutes, he was flying over Europe, then seconds later, over the southwestern plains. He did this simply because of being locked away for so many months confined to a rather small cell. It felt good to fly so fast again. There was nothing like it. Any meta that did not possess the ability of flight was truly missing out. He zoomed through cloud gatherings He was defying gravity on every level and really enjoying the grand moment. He was back in the game once again, and nothing would keep him from his moment in the sun ever again.
Soon after, he was back in Millennium City and heading towards Century park.
However, it was unfortunate that his once majestic monolithic statue was now smeared with splatters of paint and garbage, but he was determined to get respect from Millennium City as he had done before. Slowing his speed down to get a birds eye assessment of the matter, he opted to head towards the military set up away from the already entranced crowd.
