𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

𝖢𝖧𝖠𝖯𝖳𝖤𝖱 𝟣

The room was filled with joy, and happiness.
" happy birthday colby! Did you get everything you wanted?" Dusk asked her son, hyping him up.
" yeah, mummy! I can't wait for my next birthday" colby laughed and dashed to play with the other kids.
Dusk laughed. She looked outside, the kids bench where they ate the party food. It was filled with leftovers and used cups.
Dusk turned to the other parents.
" I'll go clean outside, I'll be a minute" she said and got the keys to unlock the outside door. Once outside the house the breeze hit her like shards, it was painfully cold, but in another way calming.
Dusk unraveled a bin bag out from the spare storage room and put all the used cups and plates into it.
She saw a party banner that read ' happy 7th birthday' on it. Dusk tied the bin bag up, excluding the banner for her son.
Once she had cleaned the wooden table, she pulled the bin bag up and threw it into the bins outside.
" okay done." She exhaled and opened the door to the living room, locking the door and putting the banner up on the wall.
Colby and his friends were playing up stairs, so all the parents were downstairs.
" so, how's Sam getting on with school?" Dusk asked.
" fine, although he hasn't made to many friends. Thanks for inviting him, dusk." A voice replied.
" sure thing penny" dusk said and started getting desert ready.it was vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, and sprinkles splattered over it.
She called the boys down and placed the desserts at the table.
Colby was the first to appear, and sat down at the table. His grin showed it all.
" thanks mummy! I love ice cream" he smiled wide. Before eating, he waited for his friends to come.
Dusk could hear giggles and laughter erupting from the stairs, and before she knew it four boys came rushing down in excitement.
" desserts at the table" dusk pointed cheerfully.
They thanked her and sat down to eat with Colby.
Dusk watched in happiness.
She could see the sun beaming outside once again. It was finally warm once more, after the coldness she had felt from it earlier.
" after dessert, would you like to go outside again?" She suggested.
they happily agreed.
Dusk looked to the mothers, penny, Cheyenne, Dina and Bianca. They were her closest friends.
The mothers were just sat on the couch, drinking and talking with one another. Dusk joined them.
She watched as the kids went outside to play, but didn't pay much attention of it.
" yeah so me and Alejandro are like. Official now" Bianca stated.
The others were in awe.
" oh my god, no way!" Penny held Bianca's hand in shock.
" wow, since when?" Dusk asked.
" Monday" she replied, and looked over to Cheyenne.
" that's incredible Bianca, your so lucky!" She exclaimed.
" thanks Cheyenne" Bianca smiled in happiness. Dusk looked over outside again. She could see Robert, Archie, Finley, Freddie and....Colby? Where was he? Dusk looked at angles to see if he was hiding or something but she was wrong.
" one minute girls" she said and got up from her seat unlocked the door, and blasted outside.
" boys, where's colby?" She asked, concerned.
" Colby is with us" Mason replied, turning around as if Colby were there, but realised he wasn't.
" Colby..?" She looked in confusion.
" I don't understand, he was right here with us we swear  colbys mum!" Freddie said.
" maybe he went to the toilet" Finley suggested.
" or maybe he just went inside" Archie thought.
Dusk looked even more concerned. His friends didn't know where he was, so where is he.
Dusk nodded to them and walked back in, and rushed to the bathroom.
" Colby?" She called out.
" are you in there?" She called again.
No answer.
" where's my son!" She rushed upstairs and looked in his bedroom. It was filled with formula 1 race cars and plastic avengers toys.
She scanned the room but couldn't see him.
She sighed.
Dusk rushed back down stairs to check the garden one last time.
" Colby!" She called out. The other boys looked at dusk with worry, as if they knew Colby wasn't found.
" COLBY!!" She screamed to the top of her lungs.
She fell to her knees and started to cry,
" it's like you just disappeared..." she whispered. The boys went inside, and sooner or later the mothers came out. The boys must have told them what happened.
Penny was the first to reach out to dusk.
" dusk...we heard what happened. I'm sure he's here somewhere" she said reassuringly.
Dusk wasn't intrigued.
" I checked everything. He's gone..." she said, tearing up again.
" don't say that dusk! We will find him, I promise" Cheyenne said, " how about we put up posters?" She added. Dusk looked up.
Silent, but nodded. Cheyenne went back to dusks house and opened up her phone, and started to create missing pictures of Colby.
Bianca, penny and Dina.
" it's going to be alright, I promise. We will find him." Dina said, patting dusk on the back. Bianca and penny nodded.
" done." Cheyenne called and started walking outside.
" do any of you have a printer?"
