Angst
-------------------------------------------------------Y/n had been with Amber for five years, but lately, something felt off. The spark that once ignited their relationship had dimmed, and Amber found herself questioning everything. Could she tell whose time was being wasted? The vibrant connection they once shared had soured, leaving her feeling empty and dry.
As Amber approached her 22nd birthday, the question "Who am I?" echoed in her mind. She had always been the one to move on quickly, barely blinking before diving into the next fling. And just like that, Amber was gone, leaving Y/n scrambling to hold onto something that was already lost.
Y/n had always been the one who cared, who fought for their relationship, but now, she realized it was time to move on. The constant fighting no longer felt like them, and she knew it was time to let go. Yet, Amber had been waiting for this moment, a chance to truly live, to explore life beyond their relationship.
But Y/n wasn’t smiling anymore, her eyes no longer lit up with the joy they once held. Amber had said she wouldn't leave, but she did, and now Y/n was left feeling more alone than ever. She needed a friend, someone who wanted her for who she was, not just someone to fill the void.
As the rope between them frayed, Y/n began to understand that it was time to let go. The grapes of their relationship had withered, no longer ripe for the picking. Amber laughed when Y/n wasn’t around, and Y/n could see that she only reached out when she needed something. The connection between them had become hollow, and Y/n knew it.
Y/n had cared deeply, but she had reached her limit. The constant tension and unresolved issues had taken their toll. Amber never shared why she felt so rough, but Y/n could see the pain in her actions. Now, Amber was off living her life, while Y/n was left to pick up the pieces.
In the end, Y/n found herself alone, wondering if Amber ever truly loved her or if she was just another girl in a long line of flings. The space between them had grown too wide, and Y/n finally realized it was time to move on. As Amber tripped out the backdoor, Y/n whispered to herself that she had fallen for someone new, but deep down, she knew it was just another girl who looked like Amber.
The laughter Amber once shared with Y/n was now a distant memory, and the love they once had was nothing more than a faded photograph. Y/n had always known that grapes were better in September, but now she understood that sometimes, it’s best to let them go when they’re no longer sweet.
