As I approached the hole, I silently hoped I would make it across. I was 99 percent certain that I would make it, but the 1 percent was nagging in the back of my mind, telling me that I was going to fall to my death. I shook that thought out of my head as I got closer and then I was flying in the air for a few moments before hitting the wooden floor that was on the other side of the hole. I landed with quite a bang, making it echo throughout the floor we were on. It was silent for a couple of seconds before I heard cheering. I looked up and saw Colby's friends cheering and giving each other high fives whilst Emelie and Xavier looked at me in pure shock. I stood up and wiped my hands before giving a bow, giggling slightly. I turned to look at Colby who was still on the other side, staring at me. His mouth was slightly gaped open, initiating shock, but his eyes spoke differently. I couldn't tell what he was thinking.

"Come on, Sam. If Rosalie can do it, you can too!" The man with the braids cheered. Colby pressed his lips into a thin line, closing his eyes for a moment before backing up to the wall and running towards us. He jumped, everyone else around cheering for him. But he made a crucial mistake that only I noticed. He misjudged the jump and jumped too early, meaning that he wouldn't make it unless someone grabbed his hand, most likely his weight dragging the other person down the hole with him.
"Colby!" I screamed and without thinking, I lunged forward and grabbed his hand just in time as the others noticed that his foot wasn't close enough to the edge to make it.  "Somebody grab me, now!" Whoever reacted to my screams reacted fast. In less than two seconds, strong hands were around my waist, wrapping around my stomach. I felt Colby's weight fall and kept hold of his hand as tightly as I could
"Fuck, shit!" He cursed as his body banging into the concrete wall below the floor. I could feel his grip loosening, making me panic.
"Cole, don't fucking let go of my hand." I cried, keeping my eyes locked on him. He looked up towards me and his gaze softened for a second before hardening again. "Someone help me pull him up!" The man with braids leaned over the hole and reached his hand down towards Colby, taking his other hand.
"Brother, are you okay?" I heard from behind me. The blonde. He must be the one that grabbed me to stop us both from falling.
"Okay, pull him up." I demanded the man with the braids and he did just that. We both took a deep breath and began pulling him upwards. With help, it didn't take us long to get Colby to safety.

"Colby!" The blonde flung himself forward and hugged Colby tightly. I frowned as I thought he still had a hold of my waist. I looked back and it was Emelie. She smiled softly at me.
"You didn't think I was going to let you fall again, did you?" I wrapped my arm around her and gave her a side hug, squeezing her.
"Thanks, Em." I whispered to my best friend and released her so she could stand back with Xavier. I turned back to the guys. "Right, thank you guys for helping us, but we're going to go explore the place now."
"Wait, y'all are exploring the place too?" The blonde asked. I nodded. "Well, why don't we stick together in case something else happens?"
"Yes!" Xavier spoke up for the first time as he shrunk backwards. "It would be nice not to be the only guy, especially if something else does go wrong."
"I'm okay with that. Rose?" Emelie looked at me. I shrugged.
"Sure, but I need to know your names. I'm not calling you blonde, braids and tall guy this whole night." I sent the boys a smirk, causing all of them to burst out laughing. All of them, except Colby, who had a slight smirk of his own playing on his lips. Damn.
