Yagyhavi's pov:

I gasped as I saw Samar's fist connected with Shekhar's face with a resounding thud.

The impact caused Shekhar to stagger backward, his face contorting with pain.

The intensity of the moment made my heart race.

"Samar, calm down," Dev bhai's voice cut through the tension, trying to bring Samar back from the edge of his fury.

I saw Samar's eyes flashed with anger, but there was something else there too—resolve.

He didn't let go of his grip on Shekhar, but I could see he was holding himself back, barely managing to control the storm raging inside him.

The way he looked at Shekhar, there was no doubt in my mind that if provoked further, he wouldn't hesitate to strike again.

But even more than his anger, what struck me was the way he had reacted—how he had jumped to my defense without a second thought.

Despite everything, despite the doubts that had plagued me moments before, it was clear that Samar wouldn't tolerate anyone disrespecting me, even someone he had known for years.

"Tune mujh par haath uthaya. Shekhar Singh Randhawa par haath uthaya."

"Vo bhi is 2 kodi ki ladki ke liye," Shekhar said, even in his bruised state. He wasn't backing down.

(You raised your hand on me. You dared to raise your hand on Shekhar Singh Randhawa. And all for this two-bit girl)

His sneer only deepened as he spat out his words.

His words stung, the insult directed at me cutting through the air like a blade.

I felt a surge of emotions—anger, hurt, and disbelief—rising within me.

How could he speak about me like that? How could he reduce everything to such a vile statement?

As Shekhar's venomous words left his mouth, I saw something in Samar snap.

Before I could react, Samar's fist collided with Shekhar's face again, the impact even harder than before.

The sound echoed around us, a brutal reminder of how quickly things had escalated.

Samar didn't stop there.

He landed another punch, this time to Shekhar's stomach, causing him to double over in pain.

The ferocity of Samar's attack was terrifying and I sat there stunned seeing him like this.

Shekhar's groans of pain filled the air, but Samar was relentless.

"Samar, stop!" Dev bhai's voice rang out, and I saw him rushing over, trying to pull Samar back.

But Samar was beyond reasoning, his fury consuming him completely.

"Do kodi ki ladki nahi hai vo, samjha tu!" Samar growled, delivering another punch that sent Shekhar reeling.

(She's not a two-bit girl, got it)

My heart pounded in my chest as I watched the scene unfold, a mix of emotions swirling inside me—fear for what might happen, anger at Shekhar's disgusting words, and an overwhelming sense of shock at the depth of Samar's reaction.

He was defending me, fiercely and without hesitation, as if every word Shekhar had uttered had been a personal affront to him.

I watched as Shekhar, groaning in pain, quickly regained his composure.
