Aurora's pov

I couldn't sleep although I tried shutting my eyes for the tenth time and still sleep never came. Something in me was burning and aching. The very motion of any fabric clinging to me drove me crazy. I'm certain my temperature must be hot enough to boil a pot of water.

I trashed around and flipped the pillows a couple of times but nothing was helping so I settled for drinking some ice cold water.

I rose from my bed and as soon as I stepped outside of the bedroom I was greeted by darkness.
The entire house was dark and eerily quiet.
I walked around the house and discovered that Roman wasn't here in fact no one was here.

This is weird why would Roman leave me all alone, especially after I tried to escape not too long ago.
Or maybe this is some sort of trap? To see if I will run again?
I stepped into the dark kitchen and
reached for the light and turned it on.

Whilst I was chugging down the ice cold water I heard the door opening assuming it must be one of the servants or Roman, instead I was face to face with a familiar looking man.
I felt a chill crawl down my spine as he grinned at me wickedly.

Lucas?

"It's been a while Aurora" He smirked.

What are you doing here? I asked with a shaky breath.

"I've come to take you back to your father"

My father? I questioned.
Yes, Aurora. Your father has seemed to changed his mind. He wants you to return to the pack with me.

Why should I go back? Michael despises me and so does everyone else back at silver moon. I said with clenched teeth.

Lucas eyed me curiously. "I see being in Roman's pack made you a little brave. Usually if you were asked to do something you'd do it without questioning"

I snickered crossing my arms over my chest.
I'm no longer the weak, fragile girl everyone used to abuse. I sneered.

The maybe I should change that, don't you think Aurora? He let out a dark chuckle that made my blood run cold.

I scoffed shooting him a hard glare. I'd very much like to see you try. I dared.

Lucas grinned. Well then don't blame me if you get hurt. Remember you asked for this Aurora.

I raised my knee and it connected with his groin. He grunted and I shoved him away, rushing towards the front door.

I halted in my tracks as Lucas suddenly appeared in front of me fuming.
Well that was certainly uncalled for wasn't it Aurora? He barked.

You better leave before Roman gets back, he'd be furious if he sees you here. I snarled.

Lucas snickered. No one's going to return for a while not even Roman and I made sure of that. He assured me.

I'm not going anywhere with you! I yelled balling my fists.

Bitch! He snarled yanking my hair.
I hissed as my strands strained against my scalp, agony spreading across my body. Without warning he yanked me back, until my throat was revealed to him.

I glared vehemently upon him, into the eyes of a man who had also taken pleasure in beating me.

"You are such an ungrateful bitch. Your father has given you a roof over your head, fed, clothed you and this is how you repay him huh? By sleeping with the enemy!" He yelled.

He smacked me across the face. My head flew to the side, my cheeks burning.
Before I could even wake up he swung his legs into my stomach. I choked, my entire body buckling forward. I heaved on the floor painfully clutching the spot.
