if you were to ask nessa to name one thing her teachers talked about that day, shed stare at you blankly. in other words, she didnt pay attention. or couldnt. her mind was too full of what she possibly could be walking to after school.

all the thinking didnt make her any wiser, in fact, she felt dumber. even tho eva was that kind of friend she could tell anything to, she didnt tell her, scared it was going to backfire if she did.

she tried staying positive and kept telling herself that if lynn didnt want anything to do with her, shed tell over text or avoid her like shed done before and not tell her to meet up in person.

eva sat in art class alone, drawing small circles on the paper in front of her. she hated having arts alone and making 10 times worse was her awfull social skills. she kind of just bumped into nessa in kindergarden and ever since theyd been glued to the hip.

in 3rd grade, nessa became friends with carla and she started hanging around them aswell, and then came augustine who was carlas best friend. at first she was a little bitter, jealous that nessa had other friends, but eventually grew to understand that it wasnt so bad. she no longer had to be alone when nessa wasnt at school, plus vanessa was very clear to show that she didnt compare to carla and augustine.

she was lucky to have quite a few classes with carla so she usually had someone to turn to when they had to work in pairs. but of course arts, the one subject were she really could use someone to talk to, she had alone.

most people there seemed to know who she was, probably because of mia and stella, but nobody took the time to talk to her and actually get to know her.

she saw two other figures walk towards the table she was sitting at. she brushed away the hopefull feeling that maybe they would sit down next to her, but to her surprise they actually did.

they wore shirts similar to what shed seen lynn in before. she shot an akward smile in their direction almost feeling like she shrunk in the silence.

"im margo" the strawberry blonde gingerish girl spoke, but before she could reply she spoke again. "your eva right?"

she nodded. "arent you friends with vanessa?" the girl who didnt introduce herself spoke. "yeah" eva nodded, kinda weirded out by their sudden interest to talk to her.

she could tell they were lynns friends because they were the only few people that wore their teamshirts to school. what she didnt understand was why they sat down next to her.

"do you think she likes lynn?" the girl next to margo whisperyelled. eva wasnt completely sure what to answer, not knowing if nessa had moved on like she told her to, but knew what to reply.

"i dont know, does lynn like her?" the last part kinda slipped, but the only reason for them to ask is if she did too, right? it wouldnt make sense otherwise.

margo had a knowing smirk on her face and shot a look over to inez sitting on her right. "we think so" margo nodded along as if she didnt already know. "you shouldve seen how their faces light up when they saw each other at our game" she said reffering to a few weeks ago.

"has she ever talked about lynn to you?" inez asked, clearly very invested in the topic. "a few times i guess. what makes you think lynn likes her?" she questioned, already feeling the guilt catching up to her after telling her best friend to stop waiting and move on from lynn because she deserved to be loved in the same way.

"lynn has never had people watch her at practise, she never hung out with anyone besides us during breaks and she even used her as her wallpaper" inez listed.
