Let the show begin....
As the dinner continued, the lively atmosphere persisted, with everyone engaged in cheerful conversations.
Shivanya and Rudraksh exchanged glances across the table, their silent communication not going unnoticed by the rest of the family.
"Bhai-Bhabhi, are you both in a 'who blinks first' competition?" Kabir asked while wiggling his brows
Shivanya blushed and looked down
Rudraksh gave a death stare to him.
All their family laughed at this drama
After some time,
Shivanya, seated beside Rudraksh, tried to focus on her plate, but her attention kept drifting to him.Rudraksh, with his usual charming demeanor, was engaging in a light conversation with his brother Kabir, who sat across the table.
Every now and then, he would glance at Shivanya, a mischievous glint in his eyes that she had come to know all too well.
"Aksh stop glancing at me" Shivanya whispered lightly in a scolding tone, for only him to hear
"Biwi..who said I'm glancing at you, I'm just doing some business talks with my brother" He replied whispering
She gave him a side eye and continued with her dinner
As she reached for her glass of water, she felt it-a subtle brush against her leg.
Her eyes widened slightly, and she stiffened, her hand pausing mid-air.
She slowly turned her head to look at Rudraksh, who was pretending to be entirely engrossed in his conversation, his expression innocent. But she knew better.
The brush against her leg turned into a gentle nudge, and this time, it lingered.
"I'm going to kill you, you just wait" She muttered giving him a death stare
Rudraksh was barely holding back a smirk as he continued to tease her under the table.
Shivanya shifted in her seat, trying to maintain her calm composure. The warmth of his leg against hers sent a wave of awareness through her, making it increasingly difficult to focus on anything else.
"Shivi, are you alright?" Anika, who sat on her other side, asked, noticing her sudden distraction.
Shivanya forced a smile, her voice steady despite the flurry of emotions Rudraksh was stirring within her.
"Yes, I'm fine. Just... thinking."
Rudraksh, still keeping up the facade of being the perfect gentleman, lightly pressed his leg against hers again, this time more deliberately. It was playful, intimate, and undeniably intentional.
"Akshhhhh"
She whispered again and shot him a warning glance, her eyes narrowing slightly, but he only raised an eyebrow, challenging her to react. She couldn't let him win this little game. With a composed smile, she subtly moved her leg away, breaking the contact.
But Rudraksh was quick to follow, brushing against her again, this time with a bit more insistence. The sensation was maddening, sending tiny electric shocks through her nerves.
