Chapter - 12
____________

After that day, the library staircase leading to the top floor was blocked and inaccessible for girls.

"What do you mean, we can't go there?" The girl tried to reason with the other girl.

She simply told her to get a permission letter from the Librarian to get access, and the Librarian lady refused to unlock the upstairs.

"Told ya, That stairs are blessed for Elites, we aren't allowed to get our hands on those books, I heard the floor has the most precious and expensive sets which are collected there from generations, I might just sneak some time but punishment could be fatal for our family's reputation and business."

"Who will pay for such fortune to live up there every day, anyways? Are they that powerful and filthy rich? Or are they simply dumb?" The girl was fuming in shock and jealousy.

"Shh, don't yell, okay? You don't wanna deal with Librarian, now would you?"

"I don't care about that white hair witch; she is unbelievable, our families are one of the top reputed leaders, and we couldn't even get full access to the damn library? Why the heck, what we are studying here for, to act like a low-life pest?"

"Yes, you are..."

Their heads snapped at the same time to the lady who she had just called a white-haired witch, witch has a name though - Revena Crutchfield, an average-looking lady whose hair is always tied up behind her pointy ears, her light blue eyes stayed calm as she walked with grace toward both the ladies in front of her.

"Yes, you are... incompetent to enter on the top floor; got a complaint from the main Head office that someone entered yesterday by those stairs, so after a lot of discussion, nobody has access to that area, it is fully restricted, due to the security reasons."

"But-"

"Do you wanna leave the campus? Or not argue over such an impotent thing." Lady Crutchfield smiled like that after threatening her entire generation.

The girl gulped and faked a tight smile - "That would be nice, I guess."

They turned and walked downstairs as soon as possible.

Lady Crutchfield smiled at those stupid girls and walked forward towards the darkness until she got a rope to pull the curtains so that the light could emit inside the dome-like library.

She twirled and danced with an open book in her hand, singing and collecting her white sleeves in the process.

She paused and turned to face the floor above hers.

"So she came."

Exel's dorm faced the never-ending forest of the Academy. He wasn't a very adaptable human being in his new surroundings.

It was annoying.

Cramped, small and void.

There was no pc to work on, no hidden room, no games, nothing. Bullshit.

He was dying to meet Lexi again. Just a quick apology won't hurt the promise from Mother.

It will be quick, super quick.

With that thought racing in his mind, he opened the wardrobe, and everything which he stacked absent-mindedly fell on his head like a senseless fall.

"Ugh." He groaned.

He needed to divert his mind to other stuff or he may go crazy.

So he did.

He started to clean up his room. There were two separate beds in his room which he eventually put together to make a big bed for himself.
