Since natuwa sila sa pagkanta, lahat na kami nakatingin sa kanila.

When they finished another song, tumalikod sila para harapin kami, they looked like they were looking for another person to sing.

"Naaah," umiling agad ng mabilis si Jathen when Madrous started walking to his seat.

He has his big smiles plastered on his face tapos hinawakan na nila Deroo ang kamay niya and pulled him up.

"LET'S GO!!"

"Jathen! Jathen! Jathen! Jathen!"

The boys started chanting and clapping their hands for him, nakipalakpak na rin ako.

I took my time with the cake kasi feel ko wala pa ako sa mood mag-inom, my eyes fixed on him.

"LET'S GO, JATH!!"

They all cheered, literally shut their mouths, and then waited for him.

"Pwedeng iba na lang? I'm still feeling sick." harap niya sa mga kaibigan niya.

"COME ON!"

"LET'S GO NA JATH!"

"ISA LAAAANG!"

He shook his head and then talked to the two boys who put him there and they settled for a song.

"Sad song ba 'to?" I heard Sixto ask.

"Parang, hayaan mo na."

I heard kuya Erreo answered him and then Scalsky turned at them and laughed.

"Mga baliw, 'di siya ang pipili, sila Deroo." chismis niya kaya nagtanguan sila.

"Ay, ganu'n ba HAHAHA akala ko automatic sad song, eh." umiling si Hasten habang ngumunguya siya.

"Okay ka pa, Ithiel?"

I nodded at him when he saw me sitting here, natawa ako nung umupo siya kung saan naakupo si Jathen kanina.

"Kumakain ka pa rin?" tinuro ko ang kimchi na dinala niya sa kanya.

"Ang sarap eh, kahapon pa ako nagc-crave kaso 'di ako makakain, tapos ka na?" I nodded as he eyed the cake, in front of me.

"Gusto mo?" he nodded and then lifted his chopstick to show his answer.

Natigil lang kami sa usap nung magsimula si Jathen kumanta and his brothers started reacting on their own upon hearing his voice.

He started singing To The Bones and my heart, for some odd reason, pounded upon hearing his voice.

"Bagay naman sa boses niya, eh."

I heard someone said pero lahat siula nanahimik when he continued the song.

He was just standing there, 'yung dalawang katabi niya wini-wave na mga kamay sa ere, habang siya nakatayo, hawak ng isang kamay ang mic and the other one was deep in his shorts pocket, he stood still as he sang it beautifully but at the same time, feels painfully.

"Come on, boy!!"

Then they started waving their own hands in the air as we all listened to him sing the song.

Ako naman nanonood at nakikinig lang, parehas kaming 'di nagtaas ng kamay ni Hasten kasi nakahawak ako sa tinidor ko habang siya may hawak na chopstick, inuubos ang kimchi na pinapapak niya.
