I woke up from the constant ringing in my ear due to my phone. I shut it once, twice and three times in fact! but it wouldn't stop ringing, I rolled over to check who it was and it was seth of course if was seth. I put the phone against my ear as I groaned "Seth do you know what time it is?" he paused for a minute and then starting talking "okay look this is very urgent." he was speaking very fast and like he could barley breath "what? what's wrong are you okay?" I said as I sat up and when he was silent over the phone I panicked myself, it was seth he'd get himself in anything you could imagine and he didn't even know how "there's someone in the pool house!" he whisper screamed "what?" personally I didn't believe him but I was having doubts "I went to the pool house and a guy was asleep, please come over quick!!" i sighed and got up from my bed "alright I'm also telling francesca to come!" and hanged up
I practically ran to the bathroom and got ready super fast the only thought in my head was seth was lying but oh well. after I got out of the bathroom I stared at the clothes infront of me, half of them were on the floor and the other half were folded not so neatly. I picked out some jean shorts along with a navy blue tank top, I kicked my shoes on and ran downstairs
"oh morning tess! quite early for you." my dad spoke
"yeah well I'm going to the cohens!" he raised his eyebrows but nodded "did Sandy talk to you at all?" I asked and he simply shook his head in response "I'll eat at the cohens bye dad!" I heard a faint "bye" as I left and I usually walk to their house since it's not that far away so while I was walking I stopped at my best friend, francesca's house I've known her for I don't even know how long but we've been inseparable ever since I came to the school.
I was around 10 or 11 and had sat next to her. she was quite the opposite of me very social so she immediately started to talk to me and even made me a cute nickname tessy so that led me to calling her cessy but I knocked on her door and her mom answered. "hi sweetie fran is upstairs!" I nodded and made my way inside "thanks!"
"cessy!!" I barged into her room "go away I wanna sleep." she threw a pillow at me. rude "nope! we need to go to seth he's having an emergency!" and that's how I got her to instantly get up "will you go like that?" I laughed "i was gonna but never mind wait for me I'll get changed."I simply nodded and waited outside her room and eventually she came out which took like ten hours i pulled her arm and we ran downstairs she just told her mom "we're going to the cohens!" and we ran all the way there i swung the door opened "SETH!" francesca called out and he slide infront of us "finally, okay guys follow me and be really really quiet." the girls both nodded and followed him into the pool house and he no one was there "SETH YOU WERE LYING!" I whisper screamed "I GOT WOKEN UP SO EARLY FOR NOTHING?" seth shook his head at my words "no I swear I'm not lying come on let's go inside." he was quick to defend himself and francesca nodded at me so I followed them in.
when we walked in there was a duffel bag sitting on top of the bed and seth jumped onto the bed, in the corner of my eye I swear I saw someone standing there so I tapped Seth and signaled for him to stop and pointed at the bathroom, the three of us sat there silently waiting for a movement and seth and clinging to francesca but he jumped as soon as the door opened we three stared at the boy as she stared right back at us and seth couldn't keep his mouth shut "OH MY GOD!" he announced "I TOLD YOU GUYS." and we just rolled our eyes
I looked at the boy for a good second. he was familiar so familiar in fact but I just couldn't place where I know him from but francesca interrupted my thoughts "I'm francesca just call me fran." and he nodded in response, francesca shot Seth a glare and he spoke "I'm seth I live here." I took that as a cue to introduce myself "I'm tessa or tess tho I prefer tess." I rambled and a faint "uh-huh." came out of his mouth "so who are you?" I asked "ryan." he responded and gosh I swear I know him. Sandy barged into the pool house and everyone looked directly at the door
"ryan you should go out there and meet seth-" he paused when he saw us "well then i see you guys have met eachother already." we all nodded in sync which was ironic
"hi Sandy." I waved at him and he smiled "hi tess." he spoke before leaving the room
"norris." ryan called out and I paused, atwood he was the only person who called me that i looked at him and mumbled "atwood?" seth immediately looked at me to ryan repeatedly and me and ryan just stared at each other.

"uhm, I've got to go cessy call me.!" I said as i glanced back at ryan then proceeded to walk out the pool house and I heard seth say "you two know eachother?"
