"Oh I remember now, you came to the hospital after saving those kids from the big fire at that school." The mother clicked and Dinah took the cigarette out of her mouth.

"I did do that huh?" Dinah more so asked herself, letting her eyes dart over the woman's features.

"Well anyways, we should get going and uh...thank you for looking after her." She stands, taking Nala hand into her own.

"Yeah of course..." Dinah trailed off, watching the duo walk towards an awaiting car. 'Damn, I forgot to get her name,' Dinah thought then shrugged it off before going back to work.

A month has passed since the encounter and daylight emerges after a "peaceful" night in New York City, Nala unfailingly admires the view from her apartment home, gazing at the golden dawn of the sunrise while her mother cooks them breakfast. The aroma of the dish fills the air and her nose just as her imagination ran wild. The warmth of the sun beats on the youth's face before she runs over to her mother when the young maiden had called.

"Mama, the day is so colorful." Nala climbed onto the stool at the island of the kitchen.

"It is isn't it?" Her mother responds, giving Nala a small peck on her forehead before taking a seat herself.

"Can we go to the park?" The small girl smiled brightly and the mother sighed.

'I can't say no to that face,' She thought then smiled. "Of course, then we'll get ice cream after." The woman swore and her daughter cheers with excitement.

Once the mother-daughter duo had finished their breakfast, they swiftly gotten themselves dressed, made their way through the jungle concrete and to the park. While on their journey through the beautiful green park, they spot the white ice cream truck parked in its usual spot before making their way to the vehicle. Ordering them two bowls of ice cream, a police officer walks up to the duo with a hidden smile.

"Excuse me miss, you're under arrest for being too adorable." They spoke catching the duos attention and Nala face brightens.

"Aunt Lauren!" She jumps onto the on duty cop and is lifted into the air like a rocket, adding the sound effects along with the action.

"Hey princess, hey Normani." Lauren greeted back and the mother smiled.

"Long time no see Lauren, how are you?" Normani asks, digging in her purse after the ice cream man had set down the two bowls of sugary sweets.

"Bien, good. I'm sure Camila told you all about our disagreement, dios mío..." Lauren muttered.

The two (Camila and Lauren) had recently been wedded, by recently about nine months ago furthermore and nonetheless, Lauren is being persistent for wanting kids although Camila is subjective and objecting to the idea. The topic had now erupted into a week long argument between the two.

"Don't worry, I'm on your side." Normani grabs the ice cream and began to walk while Nala rid on Lauren's shoulder.

"You get me!" Lauren exclaimed, happy to have someone agree with her.

"More like I'm biased, I want a niece or nephew too." Normani explained and Lauren chuckles.

While the two held their conversation, Nala then spots firemen marching maybe training and her eyes perked seeing the familiar fire eater. Patting Lauren's head signaling that she wanted to be set down, to which Lauren complies so the youth bolts.

"Nala!" Normani called after, jogging after her—to not spill the ice cream—with Lauren by her side. 'Why is she so damn quick?!' They formulated, frantically trying to catch the girl.
