As the sun rises over Vacuo, Ivan Saxe is seen lying on a bed back on the Pylon and starts waking up. He sits up, walks over to the door, and opens it to see the morning sun lighting up the inside of the Pylon. He can hear the sounds of vendors setting up the market on the lower levels of the Pylon as he closes the door. He walks over to a large trunk and pulls out his Huntsman gear and equipment.
Ivan pulls out his Scroll to see several messages from other members of his group.
Fang:
Hey Ivan, ran into an old friend today. We're heading out into the desert to see if we can find more help. Could be something useful out there. I'll keep you posted if we find anything.Azure:
Ivan, Hannah and I are going to check on the refugee situation. Might be able to lend a hand or two. We'll see if we can make things a bit easier for them. We'll catch up with you later.Bleu:
Ivan! Evelynn and I are searching for a place to have our wedding. We're thinking of something small, just us and those closest to us. We'll meet up with you later when we're done. Can't wait for you to see what we find!Ivan chuckled at that for a moment.
Crimson:
Ivan, I'll be unreachable for a bit. Got some personal matters to take care of. I'll get back to you as soon as I'm free. Stay safe.Sky:
Heading out to scout for any Grimm that might be approaching the city. I'll keep an eye out and update you if I spot anything. Don't worry, I'll be back soon.Ivan puts his Scroll back in his pocket and walks to his door.
Ivan: (sigh) Time to go to work.
The morning sun beat down mercilessly on the bustling markets of Vacuo, casting sharp shadows on the sandy streets. The stalls were alive with color and noise, merchants hawking their wares to the throngs of people that wandered through the maze of tents and tables. Ivan Saxe strolled among them, his eyes scanning the various goods on display.
The dry heat of the desert was relentless, and Ivan could feel the warmth seeping through his armor, making him sweat beneath the layers. Despite the discomfort, he kept his focus on his mission—to find something special for Bleu and Evelynn's upcoming wedding.
He passed by stalls filled with jewelry, handwoven fabrics, and intricate pottery. Nothing seemed quite right. Ivan wanted to find something that would truly mean something to the couple. As he walked, his gaze fell upon a small stall tucked away in a corner of the market, where an old Faunus woman was selling beautiful handcrafted trinkets and ornaments.
One piece caught his eye—a pair of delicate necklaces, each with a small pendant shaped like a pair of intertwined crescents, one in silver and the other in gold. The craftsmanship was exquisite, and the design was simple yet elegant. Ivan could see Bleu and Evelynn wearing them as a symbol of their bond.
He reached out to take a closer look but was suddenly distracted by a wave of heat that made him feel faint. The scorching sun and his heavy armor were taking their toll. Ivan stepped back from the stall, his vision blurring slightly as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
Ivan: I need to cool off
His armor, while excellent in battle, was proving to be a burden in this desert environment. Ivan's eyes landed on another stall nearby, where ponchos and light clothing were hanging from racks. The vendor, a young man with a wide-brimmed hat, smiled as Ivan approached.
Vendor: Looking to beat the heat, friend?
Ivan: (nods) I could use something lighter. That poncho looks like it'll do the trick.
