I felt my heart, its beating again. I slowly opened my eyes and just stared at the floral designed ceiling of my room. I can feel my blood running through my veins. I can see the cracks on the paintings. I can hear the birds chirping on the outdoors. I can smell something so good that I want to taste what it is. Why do I feel thirsty at this time? Why am I sensing these? I feel so cold. I felt his presence. He's somehow lying on top of me. I stroked his hazelnut hair.
"Romeo..." I smiled.
I grabbed his hand and entwined with mine. He's cold as me. I tried to lay him on the other side of the bed.
"Ro-romeo???"
All I can see is blood staining his clothes. A blood stained dagger lying on the floor. My tears began to fall. How did this happened? Who did this? Did he do it himself? Questions were flooding my mind.
I hugged him tight and just looked at his pale lifeless face. Such beauty. I dont want to live all alone. I dont want to live without my Romeo. My heart is torn to pieces. I cant breath. My thoughts were drowning in the sea of despair. It feels so heavy. I cant think straight. I want to end my life! I want to be with Romeo in the other life! I picked up the dagger which is still lying on the floor. It still has Romeo's blood in it.
"My Romeo, till death do us part." Without thinking twice, I stabbed the dagger directly in my heart. I shove it in deeper. I laid on top of Romeo with our fingers intwined.
"I love you Romeo..." Im feeling unconscious. My eyes began to close and the last tear fell. I took my last breath. I cant feel a thing. Is this what death is like?
"A pair of Star-Crossed lovers take their life." This is not the end yet, it's only the beginning.
I opened my eyes, Im still on top of Romeo.
"Why-am-I-still alive?"
I tried to remember what happened earlier. Im so sure that I just ended up my life earlier. I remembered how I stabbed my self to death. Why am I still alive? Why am I the only one alive? How come Romeo is still dead? I tore my blood stained victoran dress and checked for the wound I inflicted myself earlier.
"Its gone??" Only the dried blood stains were left. No sign of scar or any opening. Im so confused of these happenings.
"Yes, you're still alive my lady." I heard a manly voice from behind.
"My Lord.!" I quickly covered my chest with a blanket and ran to him.
"R-Romeo's gone!!!" My tears started to fall again.
"Yes, I know that. I was watching you two from the start. You accidentally drank a poisonous potion that left you lying unconscious and lifeless like state. Romeo thought that you ended your life. I witnessed how Romeo courageously took his life for you."
"B-but why didnt you stopped him?! You also witnessed that I stabbed myself to death right? Why am I still alive? And why cant I remember drinking such potion?" There's something odd going on here. Im doubting that he's lying.
"HAHAHAHAH!" He just laughed.
I took some step back.
"Romeo isnt stupid enough to think that Im already dead.!!! You're the one who killed Romeo!!!" I cant forgive you.
"Hahaha I'm terrible at telling lies. Im so sorry my lady. Yes, you're right. Im the one who killed your Romeo!"
"I-I cant forgive you!!!!!!" I punched his chest a lot of times, but it doesnt seem to hurt him.
"ENOUGH MY LADY! ROMEO'S GONE AND WE CAN BE TOGETHER NOW!" He grabbed my arms tightly. He smiled widely and I could see his teeth.
"Those sharp teeth of yours.. What are you!???" I escaped from his arms and ran towards my bed. I grabbed the dagger and pointed it to him.
"Hahhahaha your blood my lady is the finest of all the blood I tasted.!" He licked his lips.
"What are you???!!!" He charged towards me.
Without thinking twice, I stabbed him directly in his heart.
"Hahahah you're naughty my lady! I like naughty ladies" He removed the dagger from his body. Then I noticed that his wound is healing all by itself. I was shocked for what I just witnessed.
"How did? What are you!!????"
"I'm a vampire my lady... Yes, blood sucking creatures of the night. Its not just a legend." He licked the blood on the dagger. "You cant kill me, Im immortal." My eyes widened out of fear.
"Just kill me! You already killed Romeo so just kill me already!!!!!!! He tightens his hold of me.
"I cant do that my lady. Because you're already dead......" My eyes widened.
"I turned you into one of us before I killed Romeo. Its true that Romeo thought you were dead because you became unconscious after I bit you. Romeo thought I poisoned you but the truth is I just turned you into something new, something perfect. It wasnt my intention to kill Romeo at the first place, but he's the burden of our love story." That explains why Im still alive even if I stabbed myself to death earlier.
"You must be out of your mind!!??!!"
"No Im not my lady... So lets leave this place and live together shall we?"
"I cant live with someone like you!!!" I just pushed him and he went stumbling down. Why am I this strong? My senses, they suddenly became sharp.
"Argghhhhh!!! You cant do this to me!" He charged towards me. I can read his thoughts and movements. I need to dodge. I jumped above him and smashed his head hard into the floor. I grabbed his head tightly.
"Off with your head!" I beheaded him.
A lot of blood spilled on the floor. My hands were covered with blood. My dress is covered with blood.
"Romeo, please forgive me for what I have become. I will not forget all those happy memories of you and me. I will always love you Romeo... "
I looked at all the blood spilling. I feel so thirsty. Its so delicious to look at. My hands were covered with blood. I cant control it. My beautiful grey eyes turned into blood red. I started licking the blood of my hands.
"Hmmm it tastes so good. I want more!" My mouth got covered in blood.
What have I become? What am I? Who am I?
I am...... Juliet.
