they finished their ice cream and made their way to the student lounge, where they found jungwon, sunoo, and niki already settled in. the atmosphere was relaxed, and jake quickly fell into the rhythm of their usual banter.

when they reached jake's dorm, sunghoon turned to face him, his expression softening. "you okay? you've been quiet."

then, in a typical sunghoon fashion, he squeezed jake's butt playfully, causing jake to yelp in surprise.

"sunghoon!" jake exclaimed, pulling back slightly, though he couldn't help but laugh.

sunghoon grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "just trying to lighten the mood."

jake shook his head, still smiling. "see you tomorrow perv."

"you too cutie" sunghoon teased, pulling jake back into the hug.

jake couldn't deny it. despite the uncertainty and the worry gnawing at him, being with sunghoon made everything feel right, even if just for a little while.
