I awoke the next morning feeling like I was still in a beautiful dream. The sunlight filtered gently through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. I slipped into my robe and chemise, relishing the cozy comfort. As I made my way downstairs, the enticing aroma of breakfast wafted through the house.
In the kitchen, Zac was at the stove, seemingly lost in thought. When he saw me, he froze for a brief moment, a smile spreading across his face. "Good morning!" he said, his eyes lighting up.
"Good morning," I replied with a grin, moving closer for a warm, morning hug. The comfort of his embrace felt just right.
"I've told my maid to have the day off," Zac said as he turned back to the stove. "So, we can spend the day together."
I beamed at him. "That sounds perfect."
As we enjoyed breakfast, I excitedly shared anecdotes from my life. "You know," I began, "I used to watch 'High School Musical' on repeat. My sisters would join me, and we'd act out all the scenes. I even got them to learn the choreography from 'We're All in This Together.'"
Zac laughed. "That's awesome. What about 'New Year's Eve'? I remember you mentioned that one."
"Oh, definitely!" I said, diving into more stories. "I loved how you played the character who wanted to make a big change in his life. It really inspired me."
As we finished breakfast and were about to start preparing lunch, I noticed the grand piano in the living room and felt a wave of nostalgia.
"Hey Zac," I said with a hint of excitement, "I saw the piano earlier. Would you mind if I played a song for you?"
Zac's eyes brightened. "Sure, go ahead! I'd love to hear it."
I walked over to the piano and took a seat on the bench. With a deep breath, I began to play the opening chords of "You Are the Music in Me" from High School Musical. As I played, I started singing, pouring my heart into the lyrics.
To my surprise, Zac joined me at the piano. He took a seat beside me and, with a warm smile, began to harmonize with me. His voice blended beautifully with mine, adding depth and emotion to the song.
We sang the chorus together, our voices intertwining, creating a moment of shared joy and connection. The music seemed to carry us both, bridging the gap between fan and star in a way that felt utterly natural and heartfelt.
When the song came to an end, Zac looked at me with a grin. "That was fantastic. I didn't expect to be part of the performance, but I'm glad I was."
I laughed, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "It was a lot of fun. Thanks for joining in."
