It was strange how the world worked. One moment he was the happiest he could be in the middle of an apocolypse with his 6 friends and the next everything was ripped from him in seconds. It was like dominos falling until the last hit which was most possibly the worst punishment.

The first hit was when things got tense and fights broke out between them. It was understandable given the fear and anger from everything happening but he started to feel out of place seeing how they were always partnered in two to go out in searching for supplies.

A year after the outbreak the subtle shifts happened where he felt so left out but he kept quiet until he finally burst which led to tears and yelling. He still remembered how Taehyung shoved him away when he yelled at Jimin for picking favourites and not even wanting to go out with him when the two of them usually went out on supply hunts.

What he said wasn't really wrong since he was hurt they all chose a partner to go out with leaving him an extra waiting at the apartment they chose was the safest from getting attacked. He should have approached it better but his fear and anxiety got the best of him fearing that he would be the one left behind in the end.

The second hit was when they never made up after the fights and walked on eggshells never really getting the time to talk through it with all 7 in the same place. He had to admit he felt the sadness hit him deeply when he saw the others still reaching out to comfort each other but he didn't know if they wanted to reach out since he just stayed back not wanting to let the argument pass and forget about the reasons.

He was serious about it and even if emotions was high and they could have resolved it sooner he still didn't want to skip the topic completely. The distance only made supply hunts harder with them hesitating to choose each other which made him feel horrible inside but it wasn't like they talked about it with him.

The third hit was when he and Namjoon went out on a supply hunt and Jungkook accidently mislooked the zombies in the area which almost got the two of them in big trouble and them needing to leave the food they had found. It escalated with them saying he needed to let it go and stop putting someone else's safety in risk just because of some tantrum.

Of course it would trigger another round of fights and made the tension even higher with them all. He remembered crying into his pillow that night in his room refusing to go to their shared rooms they used for safety. A sharp pain striked his heart when he saw Seokjin pass his room with a sad expression before just walking on not coming in to give him a goodnight hug at all.

He cried even harder after that but if he knew what would happen he would have made peace that night to just cling onto them before he would lose them.

The last hit was when Taehyung got sick while they had no medicyne anymore. It was just the flu but Jungkook felt so worried seeing the usually giddy Taehyung looking so pale and weak. He remembered how he placed a blanket over him while apologizing to him softly and telling him how he truly felt knowing the unconsious man would not really hear his words. It still made him feel slightly better getting it all out and he felt the memories haunt him of all the good times with the older and the fun moments as well as the hardest moments they survived through together.

Jungkook just wanted to make up by getting the medicyne for him. Even if they were all on tense grounds with him and him with them he still loved them deeply with his whole heart. It was then when he asked to go for supplies to which Hoseok and Jimin chose to go with him and while Yoongi, Namjoon and Seokjin chose to stay home to take care of Taehyung.

That was when the final hit happened but Jungkook chose the hit himself when it happened. It was him or Jimin and after everything they were all still his top priority. He didn't regret it at all but he did regret letting Jimin see it. He just hoped he didn't believe it was his fault.
