(Lashawn James)
After a week of waiting Ms. Blackwell finally did a home visit today, thank God Ms. Parker was on her best behavior, she said how good we were at parenting, and any child would be lucky to have us, that was really nice of her to say that. Ms. Blackwell talked with Washington one on one, she went to his school on Tuesday, and talked to his teacher, we got a good report.
She said she just has to talk with our family and friends, and if things go alright, we'll be able to spend time with Lashawn, they already have our background checks everything is good, she said she'll be in touch I showed her out. I came back into the room I told Ms. Parker how grateful we were that she told Ms. Blackwell how good of parents we are, she said OKAY don't make her have to say nice things about us again, she took Washington, and they left the room.
Sasha, we told our family's we're adopting a child, maybe we should tell them what's going on with Lashawn, he said yeah, he's been thinking about that let's have a family dinner and tell them, they do need to know because if things work out, he'll be a part of the family.
I'm going to call gran, and I'll just call Cece and the rest of my family, Sean said he'll call his folks and see if Rob and Exstevan can join us, tonight for support since they already know about Lashawn, we made our calls. I called gran first, and invited her to dinner tonight, she said next time let her know a head of time, what time do we want her to be here, I said around six, gran said she'll be here, before I could say something else, she hung up.
I called Cece, and told her what was going on, and could she not call gran until after I tell her, she said she won't say anything, and bless our hearts for what we're doing, gran and papa Charles raised me right. I told her thanks, and I love her, give my love to the rest of the family, she said she will and give Washington a big kiss for her, I told her I will, I hung up.
Sean said his mom kept asking what we have to tell them that he couldn't do it over the phone, he had to assure her that nothing's wrong with him, and she'll find out when they get here, he said he talked to Rob, he'll be here for support.
I told bae we better order food, Ms. Parker isn't going to cook at such a short notice, Sean said even if we gave her a heads up, she still wouldn't do it, but what's saving her job is how good she takes care of Washington. I ordered dinner, and went out back with Sean and Washington, we told him we might be able to visit the boy we told him about, he asked can he play with him, I told him he might be able to, and if things go well, he could be his little brother, remember we talked to him about what adoption means, he said yes.
Ms. Parker opened the patio door she said before she leaves, she's going to make Washington his snack since we're ordering dinner, she said she was listening while I made the call, she closed the door, Washington said maybe he can have a puppy too, Sean told him maybe later.
The food arrived and we set things up, they can serve themselves tonight, we went up and got changed, the family will be here soon, Sean got Washington ready, I went downstairs and waited for our people to come.
The doorbell rang, I answered it, it's Rob and Exstevan, I welcomed them and told them Sean is upstairs helping Washington get dressed, Exstevan told me that Ms. Blackwell came to see him, he put in a good word for us, he hopes it helps us be able to visit Lashawn, I told him thanks I hope so too.
I offered them a drink, as they sat down Exstevan said nothing for him, Rob said he'll get it and walked over and poured him a glass of wine, I asked Exstevan how's the apartment building going, he said fine as I know this will be the second one, he's done for the Alexanders. Sean and Washington came down, Rob called Washington big head, my boy told him he has to be nice so he can't call him out of his name, my son is something else.
