When the Sorting Ceremony was over all the Gryffindors entered the common room chatting. Most headed straight to their dorms. Ginny however overheard someone say, "Harry! Where you been?" and ran to hug him.

"Are you okay? I was so worried!"

"Yeah! I'm great! But it's kind of a long story."

"Well-let's give these two some privacy. So-tell me." Ginny exclaimed.

"Well first of all, welcome to Gryffindor!"(Ginny is a lot more confident and outgoing in her first year than her other years because she was so young and didn't really like Harry yet. Because when I was eleven I was only thinking that boys are gross and annoying lol so if any of ya'll were wondering why she's so close with Harry that's why) Harry and Ginny walked away leaving Hermione and Ron alone. (Well, there were some students up and chatting around them but to them it felt like just the two of them.) Hermione slightly nodded and started to walk past Ron but he stopped her.

"You can't give me the silent treatment all year." Ron's tone of slight grief and guiltiness made Hermione soften a little, but she stayed stiff.
"What do you want me to say?" Hermione said, acting annoyed.

"Anything. I don't really care. I just want you to tell me something!"

"There's not much to say." Hermione said sadly looking in his eyes. She ran up the stairs to her dorm.

"Hermione!" Ron tried to say but he heard her door softly close. He sighed and sat down on the bottom step. I couldn't have screwed things up any worse, could I?' he thought.
