Chapter 2

His warm engulf of a hug allows some of my nerves to dissipate.

However, they all come rushing back to the shore as he opens his mouth to speak.

"Glad you could make time to meet with me today. How have you been love?" Thomas asks me.

Okay, not a bad start.

"I'm doing well, and you know I will always make time for you. This movie. This role is a huge priority for me." I tell him with a shy smile on my face.

"Well that's good to hear. So I wanted to let you know that I took in your suggestion for a male lead and I must say I am quite impressed with Mr. Gavin's work" Mr. Payne begins.

This is great.

Porter Gavin not only is an amazing actor but he's one of the only people that I can stand to be around in this industry.

"Really?" I question in shock that he would take in my opinion given his title and power in the industry.

I mean I definitely have my own set of power and privilege but his is on a whole nother level.

He shakes his head enthusiastically.

"I did." he confirms.

"However, my casting team wants me to look at two other promising candidates. We're scheduled to do a final audition and a chemistry test with you on Wednesday. That's why I called you today." he continues.

"Wanted to make sure you were okay with that." Thomas adds.

"Oh." I pause thinking over what I should say.

I had thought Gavin was a shew in.

"It's more of a formality thing. Don't worry." Thomas tries to assure me.

"Alright." I pause once more, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, "So who are the other two candidates?" I ask.

"They won't tell me." he lets out a chuckle.

"Their words were 'we want you to go into this with an open heart.'" he answers.

I mean Thomas has been known to only put people in his movies that he knows can deliver on a role i.e. they've had experience in this industry.

I mean besides my ass kissing I'm pretty sure that's the only reason I got an audition in the first place.

So with that being said it's safe to say the casting team has found some rookies to possibly take on the role as the male lead for this film.

"Well I look forward to meeting them." I say with a fake smile to which Thomas catches.

He lets out a boastful laugh.

"You crack me up kid. I think I struck gold with you." he beams.

"Oh you did." I confirm with a hair flip for dramatic effect.

This causes us both to laugh lightly as a knock lands on his door.

"Excuse me Mr. Payne but the producers are here for your 1 o'clock." one of his assistants voices.

"That's my que." I sigh, getting up from my chair that sits across from his desk.

He sighs too as he releases his feet that had been posted up on his desk and gets up from his seat.

"It's been a pleasure. I'll see you on Wednesday." he tells me sincerely.

"See you." I passively wave as I excuse myself out of his office.

Letting out a huge sigh of relief I start the trek back towards my car.

I've never had a director take in my considerations before.

This was huge.

He's huge.

No, not like that, but as a director.

I can't believe I got this role and this opportunity to work with him.

It almost feels too good to be true.

Well, Arden Sommers had quite the night last Saturday as she was seen doing multiple rounds of coke and appeared to have had sex with her boyfriend out in a very public setting. The Disney child star turned critically acclimated actress has had a rocky two years with rumors swirling around that she is a pain in the ass to work with. This latest news couldn't have come at a worse time with her rumored to be starring in a new Thomas Payne movie. With her bad press already at an all time high this takes the cherry on the cake. The big question for many is, is this new role in jeopardy of being given to someone else? However, for us at People we are wondering a much bigger question...Is her whole career in jeopardy at this point?

Arden Sommers...where do I even begin?! She used to be so sweet and light in every room that she walked into. Truly an inspiration for so many little girls including our own here at Moms Against The World Inc. Despite her many failed and public relationships post Disney days we still had hope that she was still that sweet girl inside. One that our own girls could look up to. Boy were we wrong. With this latest news and video and photo evidence to back it up we are shocked and quite honestly deeply disturbed by her actions. Whatever path she is going down is not one that we want our little girls being exposed to. That is why us moms at Moms Against The World Inc. are calling for all Arden Sommers content to be removed from Disney Plus Streaming Services as well as her to be removed from Thomas Payne's upcoming film August.
