Mia POV

9:10 AM

I woke up the next morning and got ready for work. When I woke up this morning I noticed Cj still on the phone snoring and hung up as quickly as possible. I doubt I'll be talking to him again. He's a weirdo

I work at CVS as a pharmacy tech on the weekends. This job was only to be able to make money to pay for my hair and nails. My real goal was to become a software engineer, which is what I was planning on going to school for in the Fall. Doing something in the tech field has been something I've wanted to do for years now. I also design and code websites on the side when I have time, something I love doing.

I put on my scrubs then straightened my side part sew-in as I watched Youtube on my TV.

I finished getting ready for the day and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"MOMMY!" I yelled upstairs hoping my mom could hear me.

"WHAT?!" She yelled back.

I smirked and ran upstairs to her room and stood at the foot of her bed

"I have to work today." I said

"Ok?" She said back sleepily

"So I see that you're tired. Can I drive your car to work?" I asked grinning

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Girl go head. And don't take my car anywhere else but that job. You lucky I'm tired" She said as she turned over to go back to sleep

I ran over to her and kissed her cheek "Thanks so much you're amazing!!" I said happily

"Get out of my room" she said while laughing

I grabbed her keys and left her room "Bye!" I yelled

"Be safe I love you" She yelled back

"I love you too!" I yelled as I grabbed my purse and turned the alarm on heading out the door.

I unlocked the doors to my mom's BMW truck and  pulled out of the driveway. I couldn't even make it out the neighborhood before my music was interrupted by my phone ringing.

"Oh no baby it's too late to be changing your mind bout me driving this car now." I mumbled lowly to myself

I answered the phone call without glancing at the caller ID.

"Noooo you're not getting this car backkkk" I dragged

"I'm driving my car so what nigga car you in?" Cj said on the other line

I was caught off guard. What the hell is he doing calling me?

"Oh-Cj- my bad I thought you were my mom" I said back laughing a little

"What you doing up so early?" I asked

"I'm on my way to make some money.  What nigga house you headed to?" He asked

"I don't got no nigga. I'm on my way to make some money too" I said back sassily.

"Oh you don't?" He asked

"No I do not recall having one" I said back

He needs to hurry up and get off my phone. I was listening to music and I'm not too interested in talking to him anyway.

Cj laughed. "Well since you dont have one can I see you tonight?" he asked.

"Ummm where we going?" I asked curiously

"Imma come get you" he replied

"Umm that typically means you want me to come over your house. We just friends so I don't do stuff like that." I snapped back at him
