Chapter 25: What can you lose

Flash back 2020 Sokovia

I lay in bed and watch Stephen as he packs up his stuff. It's been a few days and a part of me is still in disbelief, of what I did and the fact that I have been sold off to the highest bidder. Stephen told me that he will be heading to Italy alone and that I would be staying behind in Sokovia for a few months. apparently when Romulus bought me for 1 million dollars, it was actually for 3 months.

the deal was, for 1 million, which was split between Barnes and Strange 50/50, I am to continue to work for Romulus, performing with not just Pietro, but Wanda too. any money generated from that would be split 3 ways, with Barnes receiving the bulk load. Barnes 50%, Stephen 30% and Maximoff 20%.

I am also to be sold for $100,000 a night for sessions that can be viewed by others. 150,000 if private. Again with Barnes receiving the bulk of what's brought in.

When told of this arrangement, I screamed, and I begged, and I cried. But it fell on deaf ears. They wanted to ruin me, Break me. all while filling their pockets. All of this, because I loved a boy. I promised to stay away from him. I was on a whole other continent for Christ sake. But it still wasn't enough. They wanted to make sure there was nothing left to break when they were done with me.

After Stephen left, I got regular visits from Wanda over the next few days, wanting to hang out, go shopping, or go for a walk. I just ignored her. I hated her. how could you live a life like this and still be so optimistic?

Her brother on the other hand stayed away. after what happened between us, I'm sure it's hard to look at someone you despise after you've cum in them multiple times.

Mr. Maximoff only came to see me once. he accompanied a doctor who had me switch my birth control to one that would stop my periods. He says he needs me to work 3 months straight without anything getting in the way.

It's a weird thing when you reach a point when your body is no longer yours.

Mr. Maximoff tells me. "I understand how devastating all of this can be. I will give you a few days to come to terms with this arrangement. Then I expect you to be ready to perform."

I don't move as I sit and listen to him tell me the rules of his house and His expectations. He also tells me that, despite Barnes and Stranges wishes, he will be compensating me from his share of the proceeds. It wont be much. Enough for me to enjoy my time here when I'm not "working."

I hope he doesn't expect me to be grateful. According to him, he pays his kids generously. But they have their own rules and expectations to live by. While I'm here, he says he will look after me as if I am one of his kids. He promise to always be fair and never hurt me. I roll my eyes at that part. I'm being sold against my will. Nothing about this is fair.

Two days later, Wanda comes to my room to check on me. she talks and I try to listen. But my ears perk up when she says, "so we have our first performance tonight. are you nervous?"

I turn from the window I was looking out of and look at her. "Tonight?"

She nods slowly as she gauges my reaction. "its ok to be nervous. Have you been with a girl before?" she moves towards me to touch my hair, to move it away from my face. the gesture was meant to be friendly. But my body reacts in a different way.

I slap her hand away and I growl at her, "don't...touch...me..."

I stalk towards her, needing to release a lot of pent-up anger. I know this isn't her fault. She has been nothing but kind and gentle towards me. but I need to release my anger and right now she is the only one in front of me. she backs away from me, eyes wide. There isn't any fear in them. just shock and hurt.
