"Oh... Adam! Wake up, it's morning!" Alice, Adam's mother, exclaimed as she looked at him with concern. "What a lazy boy you are!" She sighed as she bent down to kiss her son's forehead. Despite his lack of discipline, her love for him was greater than anything else. He was still just a child, not yet six years old.

She began to tidy up the scattered items in the room: clothes and wooden toys that his father, Daniel, had made for him upon his request. Those toys represented swords, shields, and arrows, and young Adam was enamored with his Uncle Eric's stories about wars and his heroic deeds in the First Roman Kingdom. The way he told those stories, complete with gestures and sounds, captivated the little boy, who had always dreamed of becoming a valiant warrior.

The mother left the room after failing to wake her eldest son. She slowly closed the metal door, careful not to wake her baby, Samuel. She descended the stairs quietly, but the smell of something burning in the kitchen made her hurry. "Oh dear, I forgot the food!" She quickened her steps as she tossed Adam's muddy clothes into the laundry bucket.

With a deep sigh, she said, "Thank God, the food was almost burned." She put on leather gloves and took out the fragrant apple pie, heading towards her husband Daniel's workshop. There, he would be working with his blacksmithing tools. In a deep voice, he said, "Apple pie!" and made his way to the back door of the modest Egron family home, a family renowned for their blacksmithing and weaponry.

He opened the door slowly so as not to wake the boys and took a deep breath filled with the scent of pie. "I want a big piece, Alice!" Daniel said, but his angry gaze was met with Alice's shout: "Don't be selfish! I'll let it cool by the window, and at seven o'clock, when the boys wake up, they'll have breakfast as usual."
