In the heart of the battlefield, where bodies lay scattered like withered leaves and raging flames flickered in every corner, stood a boy named Adam, stunned as if the earth had trembled beneath his feet. He could not comprehend how he had transitioned from the warmth of his bed to this hell, where chaos reigned supreme and screams filled the air. His eyes roamed the terrifying scene, struggling to grasp his surroundings, while his heart raced, questioning: how did all this happen?

"Where am I?"
"Friends, where are you?"
"Mom... Dad..."

In a fleeting moment, he spotted a strange figure in the distance, standing among the scattered corpses, attempting to move cautiously, avoiding the bodies sprawled around him. It was a grotesque sight that made him feel nauseous, yet his curiosity propelled him forward. As he drew closer, the features of the figure became clearer: a skeletal being with small horns atop its head, holding a shimmering green gem in its left hand. It was dressed in ancient priestly garments, and as it murmured strange words that sounded like incantations from a bygone era, they echoed around him like whispers of unspeakable secrets.

"Wait, that green stone looks like the ones I have."

With anxious glances, Adam searched his pockets for those stones, but found nothing. Raising his head, he saw the skeletal being gazing at him, muttering incomprehensible words. The fear gripping Adam immobilized him, and for a moment, everything faded away, transforming into a sea of blood filling the space around him. Surprised by this, he exclaimed, "What! What is happening?"

He tried to swim, but his lack of skill dragged him deeper into the crimson sea surrounding him. As the waters engulfed him, he closed his eyes in profound shock, accepting his fate. Suddenly, he opened them to find his parents before him, their faces etched with worry and fear, emotions clearly reflected in their eyes.

Tears welled in his mother's eyes.
"Adam, what's wrong, my dear? You've been asleep for three days. What happened? Tell your mother."
His father, with a worried expression, added, "What happened, son? We've been so worried about you."

With a slight sigh and a pale face, Adam tried to piece together the illogical events he had just experienced. He stammered in response, "It was just a strange dream; it scared me."

His mother hugged him tightly. "Don't scare me like that again."
Adam gasped, "I can't breathe."
She released him, wiping her tears. "Come, I've made your favorite apple pie."
His father, filled with joy, tried to lighten the mood. "Apple pie? I’ll eat it all by myself!"
With a faint smile, Adam replied, "Alright, I’ll come down, Mom."

As his parents left the room, Adam stood up, almost collapsing, leaning against the wall as he got dressed. Suddenly, stones fell from his pants—red and blue ones that seemed strange to him, as he had only known one type of transparent white energy stone that most people in the area used. He pocketed those stones again and descended to the ground floor toward the breakfast table, where he found his family filled with joy. His mother, Alice, divided the pie and juice, while his father, Daniel, played with the little boy, Samuel.

Adam heard no sounds, as if his hearing had vanished. He picked up a spoon and took a piece of pie, just as he was about to put it in his mouth when he heard screams outside. A slight earthquake shook the house, causing some ceramic dishes to crash to the ground. Daniel's face turned serious as he passed Samuel to Alice and rushed outside to check what had happened.

Alice tried to ease the atmosphere, holding a small spoon and dividing a bit of pie to offer Adam. "Adam, say ahhh..." Adam opened his mouth slowly, a worried look on his face, when suddenly the front door burst open. Daniel rushed in, slamming the door shut behind him, his face marked with fear. It was the first time Adam had seen his father's face like this.
