Clara's head snapped in the direction of the front door as she heard someone knocking frantically on the door. Clara turned a worried look to her husband John. "John, you don't think that Connor has caught onto our plan, do you?"
"Clara, you don't have to worry. If that were Connor, he wouldn't be knocking on our door like that. He would break the door down just to get to Equin. Connor is not one to let anything keep him from the woman he claimed as his own," John said catching Equin's attention at the mention of Connor's name.
"Connor," Equin asked.
"No. Equin that's not Connor. You're safe now. You don't have to worry about him punishing you. You're safe here with us," Cayden tried to reason with Equin. Cayden noticed the slight glare that Equin was giving him. "Equin, think about what you are doing before you do it."
"Connor," Equin screamed before Cayden slapped his hand over Equin's mouth to keep her quiet.
Clara rushed over to the door, spotting Angelina standing on the other side through the window. Clara opened the door, pulling Angelina inside, where Angelina spotted Cayden holding Equin in a tight grip with his hand over her mouth, as her screams were muffled.
"Cayden, what on earth are you doing to Equin? You are supposed to keep her calm. Not fight with her and stress her out even more. If Equin loses this baby, Connor will kill us all. This is one of the many he plans to have to carry on his bloodline," Angelina said while giving her sister a sympathetic look.
Equin didn't like that Cayden had his hand over her mouth and bit down hard on it, causing him to remove his hand from her mouth. While Cayden was distracted, Equin elbowed Cayden in the stomach hard, causing him to let her go. Equin wasted no time moving away from Cayden, turning to glare at him.
"What you did was extremely stupid on your part. Tell me Cayden, do you believe that Connor will show you any mercy after this stupid stung you pulled? You will be lucky if I can somehow manage to get Connor calm down enough to where he doesn't kill you," Equin snapped at Cayden.
"That the thing I came over here to tell you about. Connor has Gail. He caught onto the plan, and I'm guessing he was trailing behind Gail all the way to my grams and gramps old place; and he somehow managed to get there before her, because when she walked up the steps, he was up at the top of the steps waiting for her. Anyway, him and Gail I guess exchanged words, before she told him to take a look in the truck for Equin. And from my guess he did, but realized that he was tricked. Guys, Connor was so pissed that I heard him destroying the place before storming his way up the stairs to where Gail was because she screamed and dropped the phone. I tried to get Gail to get back on the phone to talk to me, but all she did was hang up on me. I fear that Connor has her and will hold her captive until he gets Equin back," Angelina explained.
"It's a trick. Connor wouldn't do anything to harm Gail. Not if it means that he will lose Equin forever. We just need to stretch it long enough for Connor to come down here and lay a hand on me. Then Equin is free," Cayden said.
"You're willing to risk Gails life for my freedom? You are selfish and truly dumb Cayden. I hope you know that," Equin snapped at Cayden.
"I'm dumb for waiting to set you and your unborn child free from that monster who lives up int he mountains," Cayden snapped back.
"Yes, you truly are, because no matter what, Connor and I will always be bound together...through our child. And taking me, playing keep away with Connor, it will only continue to piss him off. I have to get out of here and find Connor. I just hope that I can get him to calm down before he does anything stupid," Equin said before everyone heard screaming coming from outside. "Oh my god...GAIL!"
