In the stillness of the evening's breath,
Where dancing shadows twine with twilight's death,
I stand alone beneath the sky,
And watch the world creep slowly by.A whisper in the wind doth call,
A voice that wisheth, doubt doth enthrall;
'Tis of dreams not yet fulfilled it speaks,
Of silent wishes, softly willed.Above, the stars, so cold, so bright,
Silent keepers of the night,
Deep and far they hold the secrets,
Of every hope, of every scar.Yet in the black where none do see,
I feel a breeze, a gentle tease,
It carries with it something true,
A fleeting glimpse perhaps of you.But as I reach, it fades away,
A phantom touch that cannot stay,
And though I long with all my might,
It fades into the night.Yet I stand, still in silent hope,
Entwined in endless rope,
For on the wind your voice I find,
A whisper that's forever entwined.
