Lexi got out of her black SUV. This was it, she promised herself she couldn't chicken out or come of as weak. Especially to him.

Her eyes fell on the long, big skyscraper in front of her, she had no reason to doubt herself. She was good at doing her job and that's all that mattered.

She entered the building with confidence and walked to reception. "Lexi Thompson" she spoke confidently. The girl behind the desk seemed young, dressed in clothes that smaller then 6 year old. Chewing her gum loudly, irritating the hell out of everyone around her. She was about to throw a remark at Lexi before Lexi cut her off by say.

"Listen, I'm not going to have this topical conversation, where I assume your his hoe and you think you know everything about him, including his schedule. You don't darling, he's using you for sex and your not please him completely, because if you were you attitude and physical appearance wouldn't made it obvious from 25 miles back. So I advice you type on that computer and find my damn name before I get mad"

The girl looked so shocked. And Lexi just smiled at her. Lexi's eye caught a glance at the computer. "45th floor, Main office to the right? Great! Thank you" with that she walked off. Here goes nothing

Lexi stood confidently in front of the sleek, modern conference room, her eyes fixed on the imposing figure seated at the head of the table. Ethan Blackwood, CEO of Blackwood Developments, was notorious for his ruthless business tactics and unyielding demands. His piercing blue eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if daring her to disappoint him.

"Lexi Thompson, I expect nothing but perfection," he stated, his deep voice firm and commanding. "I've reviewed your portfolio, and I'm impressed. But let me be clear: I don't pay for impressive. I pay for results."

Lexi felt a shiver run down her spine as she took a seat across from him. She had heard rumors about Ethan's demanding nature, but she was determined to prove herself.

"I understand, Mr. Blackwood," she replied, her voice steady. "I'm confident in my ability to deliver what you need."

Ethan's gaze narrowed. "I don't want confidence, Lexi. I want guarantees. I want to know that you can handle the pressure of working on a project of this magnitude."

Lexi met his gaze, her mind racing with the challenge. She knew that this project could make or break her career.

"I can handle it," she said, her voice firm.

Ethan leaned forward, his eyes glinting with intensity. "I hope so, Lexi. Because if you can't, there will be consequences. I don't tolerate failure."

The air seemed to thicken with tension as Lexi felt the weight of his words. She knew that she had to prove herself, not just to Ethan, but to herself.

"I understand," the confidence never leaving her tone, inside she was about to shit herself.

Ethan leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "Good. Because I'm not going to sugarcoat anything, Lexi. This project will be a challenge. There will be obstacles, setbacks, and critics. But I expect you to overcome them. I expect you to deliver."

Lexi felt a surge of adrenaline as she met his gaze. She knew that she was in for the fight of her life.

"I will," she said, her voice firm.

Ethan's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if searching for any sign of weakness. But Lexi stood firm, her determination evident in her gaze.

"Good," he said finally, his voice softening slightly. "Because I'm not going to accept anything less."

As the meeting drew to a close, Lexi felt a sense of trepidation. She knew that she had just stepped into the lion's den, and she wasn't sure if she would emerge unscathed.

But she was determined to try.
