Lexi woke up feeling determined and focused. She got out of bed, took a refreshing shower, and chose her outfit for the day - a sleek black pantsuit with a fitted blazer and a crisp white blouse. She paired it with a pair of black heels and a statement silver necklace.

She did her makeup and hair, opting for a sleek and polished look. Downstairs, she made herself a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the busy day ahead.

On her way to the office, she stopped by Starbucks for her favorite drink - a venti iced caramel macchiato with extra shot of espresso.

As she arrived at the office, she dived straight into designing the project. Three hours flew by, and she had a breakthrough idea.

She called Ethan's company, eager to share her concept. "Hi, I need to speak to Ethan Blackwood. I have an idea for the project."

Ethan answered, his voice firm. "What is it, Lexi?"

"I propose we incorporate a green roof and solar panels into the design. It'll increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint."

"Come see me," Ethan said curtly.

Lexi arrived at Ethan's office, her presentation ready. She stood confidently in front of his desk, clicking through her slides.

"Okay, so as you can see, the green roof will not only reduce energy costs but also provide a unique outdoor space for occupants. And the solar panels will generate enough electricity to power the building."

Ethan scowled. "This is too expensive. And what's with the weird shape? It looks like a spaceship."

Lexi explained, "The unique shape allows for maximum natural light and ventilation. And the cost will pay for itself in energy savings."

Ethan shook his head. "I don't like it. It's too radical. I want something more traditional."

Lexi's temper flared. "You asked me to think outside the box, and now you're rejecting my idea because it's too innovative?"

Ethan's expression turned icy. "I also asked you to work with my team, not insult them. What did you say to Emily at the front desk?"

Lexi's instincts kicked in. "I told her she wasn't getting away with insulting me. She was about to make a snide comment about me, and I shut her down."

Ethan's eyes narrowed. "What did she say?"

"She was about to say something about me being your new 'flavor of the month', implying that I'm just another one of your conquests. But I stopped her right there."

Ethan's face reddened. "You had no right to speak to her like that."

Lexi stood her ground. "I had every right. She was about to disrespect me, and I wasn't having it. Besides, I'm tired of people thinking they can talk about me like that just because I'm working with you. I'm not your 'hoe', Ethan. I'm your partner."

Ethan's voice rose. "How dare you! You're just a architect, not my partner."

Lexi's temper flared. "I'm your partner in this project, and I won't be treated like some disposable mistress. I'm a professional, and I deserve respect."

Ethan sneered. "You're just mad because Emily knows me better than you do."

Lexi laughed. "Oh please, Emily thinks she knows everything about you just because she's been around for a while? Please. I know more about you than she ever will."

Ethan's eyes blazed, and he pinned her to the wall, his face inches from hers. "You will never speak to me like that again. Do you understand?"

Lexi's heart raced, but she refused to back down. "I understand that you're trying to intimidate me. But it won't work."

Ethan's grip tightened, his voice low and menacing. "We'll see about that."
