The idea of Jade having a twin sister was invented in a Science room, at about the same time I came up with the idea of Sirius Malfoy. At the time, I had two possible names: Anja (who was the name of a character from another story I had only just abandoned) or Annabel (Jade's middle name).
I asked Atlantari which I should use, and she chose Anja. Which is what I used, obviously. Then I had to decide whether to call her Anja Evans or Anja Snape. Since "Anja Snape" sounded better, I went with that.
And because I was feeling lazy, I decided that Anja's middle name should be "Lily" (her mother's name obviously).
