The crisp night air felt invigorating as Chan made his way back home, his mind still racing from the revelations at the club. The conversation with Hyunjin had been a moment of clarity amidst the chaos, but now, he needed to process everything and find some semblance of normalcy.

As he walked down the dimly lit street, lost in thought, he heard a commotion up ahead. The sounds of shouting and rough voices cut through the quiet night. Chan quickened his pace, curiosity and concern pushing him forward. As he rounded the corner, his eyes widened in shock at the scene before him.

A group of men was surrounding Felix, who was backed up against a brick wall. Felix's face was a mask of determination, but it was clear that he was outnumbered. The men, looking aggressive and menacing, seemed intent on causing trouble. Felix's attempts to evade the confrontation only seemed to escalate the situation.

Without thinking, Chan rushed forward, his adrenaline spiking. He couldn't stand by while Felix was in trouble. As he approached, Felix glanced over with a mix of surprise and relief.

"Felix!" Chan shouted, drawing the attention of the men. "Get away from him!"

The group of men turned their ire toward Chan, their faces contorted in anger. One of them, a burly figure with a sneer, advanced menacingly. Chan stood his ground, his fists clenched and ready.

"What's it to you?" the man growled, his voice dripping with hostility. "This is none of your business."

"It is now," Chan replied firmly, his eyes locked on the man. "I'm not letting you hurt him."

The first man lunged at Chan, and he swiftly dodged, countering with a well-placed punch to the man's ribs. The fight erupted quickly, Chan moving with a practiced fluidity born from years of self-defense and street smarts. He landed blows and avoided punches with skill, focusing on defending both himself and Felix.

Felix, though initially taken aback, quickly found his footing and joined the fray. His movements were sharp and precise, showcasing the fighting skills that Chan had only glimpsed before. Together, they made a formidable team, pushing back against the attackers.

Chan's heart pounded in his chest as he fought. The adrenaline coursing through him sharpened his senses, making him acutely aware of Felix's presence beside him. Each time he glanced over, he saw Felix's fierce determination and unspoken gratitude.

After a few intense minutes of fighting, the remaining aggressors began to retreat, their confidence faltering. One by one, they backed off and fled into the night, leaving Felix and Chan standing amid the chaos, breathless and bruised but victorious.

As the last of the attackers disappeared into the shadows, Chan wiped sweat from his forehead and turned to Felix. "Are you okay?"

Felix, breathing heavily, nodded. His eyes met Chan's with a mixture of awe and relief. "Yeah, thanks to you. I didn't expect anyone to come to my aid like that."

Chan offered a faint smile, his heart still racing. "Just doing what I could. Those guys were a bit too much."

Felix ran a hand through his disheveled hair, his expression softening. "I owe you one. I didn't think I'd get out of that situation unscathed."

Chan shook his head. "No need to owe me anything. I just couldn't stand to see you in trouble."

There was a moment of silence between them, a heavy pause filled with the echoes of their earlier struggle. Chan looked at Felix, seeing the vulnerability in his eyes. It was a side of Felix he hadn't seen before, and it stirred something within him.

Felix's usual confident demeanor seemed to have dissipated, replaced by an earnest, almost hesitant look. "Chan, there's something I need to tell you. The stuff you saw at the club—"

Chan cut him off, sensing the depth of Felix's turmoil. "You don't have to explain. I already know. I saw how tired you were, and I overheard the conversations."

Felix's eyes widened in shock, his face going pale. "You... you know?"

Chan nodded. "I do. And if you're looking for a way out, or if you need help, I'm here for you. I can't stand seeing someone caught in something like that."

Felix's reaction was one of stunned disbelief. "Why would you help me? After everything you know?"

Chan stepped closer, his voice low and sincere. "Because I care. I don't want to see you trapped in something that makes you miserable. You deserve more than this."

The atmosphere between them grew charged, the intensity of the night's events mixing with the underlying emotions. Felix's gaze dropped to the ground, his expression conflicted. He was clearly struggling with his feelings, caught between gratitude and something deeper.

Chan reached out tentatively, his fingers brushing against Felix's arm. The contact seemed to ignite a spark between them, a palpable connection that neither could ignore. Felix's eyes met Chan's once more, and in that moment, the world around them seemed to fall away.

Without fully understanding why, Chan felt a powerful urge to bridge the gap between them. He leaned in slowly, his heart racing, and gently pressed his lips to Felix's. The kiss was soft and tentative at first, but it quickly deepened as Felix responded with a mix of surprise and longing.

Felix's lips were warm and hesitant against Chan's, but as the kiss continued, he seemed to surrender to the moment. Chan's hands moved to cup Felix's face, pulling him closer, the kiss growing more passionate with each passing second.

When they finally pulled away, both were breathless and flushed. Felix looked at Chan with wide eyes, his expression a mix of shock and emotion. "Chan, I—"

Chan placed a finger over Felix's lips, silencing him gently. "It's okay. I didn't mean to overwhelm you. I just needed to show you that I'm here for you."

Felix nodded, his eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude and uncertainty. "I... didn't expect this. I'm not sure what to say."

Chan offered a reassuring smile. "You don't have to say anything. Just know that I'm here, and I want to help. Whatever it is, we can face it together."

The night's tension seemed to dissipate slightly, replaced by a newfound understanding between them. The kiss had been unexpected, but it had also opened a door to a deeper connection. Chan could see that Felix was struggling with his own demons, and he was determined to be there for him.

As they stood together in the quiet night, the sounds of the city in the distance, Chan received another buzz on his phone. He pulled it out and saw yet another message from the unknown number.

Unknown: You're meddling in things you don't understand. This is your last warning.
