The streets were silent as Chan returned home, the sky darkening with the weight of the approaching night. His mind was still churning with the threats from the unknown number, the weight of Felix's situation, and his own turbulent emotions. The distant hum of the city was interrupted by a disturbing sight as he approached his building.

The front door of his apartment was ajar, and the eerie silence of the hallway heightened Chan's sense of dread. His heart pounded as he pushed open the door and stepped inside. The living room was in disarray—furniture overturned, broken glass scattered across the floor, and family photos smashed. The sight was horrifying, a stark reflection of the chaos that had invaded his home.

"Hanna!" Chan's voice trembled as he rushed towards his sister's room. He found her huddled in a corner, tears streaming down her face. She looked up at him with a mix of fear and relief as he wrapped his arms around her, trying to offer whatever comfort he could.

"Chan... what happened?" Hanna's voice was barely a whisper, her eyes wide with fear.

"I don't know yet," Chan said, his voice steadier than he felt. He glanced around, taking in the damage. His mother was standing in the kitchen doorway, her face pale and her eyes wide with shock. The kitchen cabinets were open, their contents strewn across the floor.

"Where's Dad?" Chan asked, though he had a sinking feeling in his gut.

"Out," their mother replied, her voice hollow. "He went to the pub. I—I came home and saw this..."

Chan felt a surge of anger and helplessness. The sight of his mother, usually a pillar of strength, so utterly defeated was almost too much to bear. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Let's clean this up. We need to make sure we're safe."

As he worked to tidy up the mess, Chan's phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw another message from the unknown number. His blood ran cold as he read it.

Unknown: Looks like you and your family had a nice little visit. Hope you enjoyed the show.

The message was a chilling confirmation of the vandalism. Chan's fists clenched in rage. He slammed his phone onto the couch, the screen cracking slightly. He couldn't let this destroy him or his family. He had to act, but right now, the priority was to secure the home and calm Hanna and his mother.

As he moved furniture back into place and began cleaning up, he noticed a small note wedged beneath a broken lamp. With shaking hands, he unfolded it and read:

Note: Felix's clients aren't as pleasant as you might think. Some of them are not people you want to cross. He's in over his head, and if you keep poking around, you might just end up on their list too.

Chan's face flushed with anger. He tore the paper into pieces, throwing it into the trash with a mix of frustration and defiance. This was too much. He was done being manipulated and threatened. He had to confront this head-on, no matter the risks.

The next morning, Chan arrived at school with a heavy heart. The ordeal at home had left him exhausted, and he couldn't shake off the dark cloud hanging over him. He avoided Felix throughout the day, keeping his distance and avoiding any unnecessary contact. The tension between them was palpable, and Chan's short responses did little to hide his inner turmoil.

The day dragged on with a monotonous rhythm. Classes were a blur, and Chan's mind was preoccupied with the night's events. When the time for their project approached, he was determined to keep the interaction with Felix as brief as possible.

They met in the library for their project, the air between them thick with unspoken words. Chan's demeanor was terse, his replies curt as he focused on completing the work. Felix sensed the shift in Chan's behavior, but he didn't press the issue. He could see that Chan was on edge, and pushing him further would only make things worse.

As they worked, the library's quiet ambiance felt like a sanctuary from the chaos, but it also underscored the distance growing between them. Felix's attempts to engage Chan in conversation were met with monosyllabic answers, and the atmosphere was charged with unspoken tension.

Finally, Chan excused himself with a brief, "I need to go," and left the library without waiting for Felix's response. Felix watched him go, a mixture of confusion and concern etched on his face. Something was clearly troubling Chan, but Felix had no idea what it was.

Back in his apartment, Chan felt a sense of relief in the solitude of his room. He could breathe without the weight of social expectations or hidden fears. The silence was a welcome contrast to the turmoil of the past few days.

As he tried to relax, his phone buzzed again. It was another message from the unknown number, and Chan's stomach dropped as he read it.

Unknown: So, you're keeping secrets from Felix now? How cute. You think you can protect him? You're only making things worse.

The message was a taunt, designed to provoke and unsettle. Chan's anger flared, but he forced himself to take deep breaths. He couldn't let this person control him. He had to stay focused on finding a solution, not letting himself be driven by fear and anger.

Later that evening, Chan decided to visit Seungmin, hoping to find some solace in his friend's company. Seungmin welcomed him with a concerned look, and they spent the evening relaxing and talking.

Seungmin noticed Chan's distressed state immediately. "Hey, what's going on? You look like you've been through hell."

Chan sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair. "You wouldn't believe it if I told you. It's been a rough few days. There's this whole mess with Felix, and now someone's threatening me and my family."

Seungmin's eyes widened. "Threatening you? That's serious. What's happening?"

Chan explained the situation, omitting only the most personal details. He talked about the break-in, the threatening messages, and the conflict with Felix. Seungmin listened intently, his expression shifting from concern to disbelief.

"That's insane," Seungmin said finally. "You need to be careful. And you shouldn't be handling this alone. If you need anything—anything at all—you've got to let me know."

Chan appreciated the offer but nodded. "Thanks, Seungmin. I just... I don't know how to handle it all right now. I'm trying to keep it together."

They continued to talk into the evening, discussing the situation and sharing a few moments of light-heartedness to break the tension. Seungmin's presence was a welcome distraction, and Chan felt a bit lighter as they joked and reminisced.

As Chan left Seungmin's place later that night, he felt a small sense of relief. It was good to talk to someone who cared, and it gave him a renewed sense of determination. He had to confront the issues head-on, but he couldn't do it alone. He needed support, and he needed to be smart about his next moves.

He returned home, feeling somewhat steadier but still burdened by the looming threats and unresolved questions. The unknown messages continued to hang over him, a constant reminder of the danger lurking just out of sight. Chan knew that the coming days would be challenging, but he was ready to face them with a renewed resolve to protect those he cared about and to uncover the truth, no matter what it took.

P.S. I wanted to add more thoughts about the name of the book, cause it has the main sense of this story, if you know the song "Toy Boy" u would get what i am talking about. If not, listen to get the idea of who it is. The breaking point is that Chan is a perfect toy at the end? Isn't it so? What do u think?

Next one is on 15th.
