Charles's POV:
'I know you're fucked off, but you can't go around beating people up. When your strikes over you'll get banned so you'd may as well retire now.' Daniel said, bluntly.'I want to retire now.' I said, cutting him off.
Daniel sighed heavily, holding the bridge of his nose in stress.
'My fiancé, your sister, is in danger once again, and I cannot stress enough how bad of an idea it is that she stays.' I said, firmly.
'He will be gone by tomorrow. The second the FIA wake up they'll have that video sitting on their desk.' Daniel argued.
'I don't give a fuck. He shouldn't be here!' I shouted, getting up and heading to the door, pulling it open and leaving without turning back to look.
I was heading in the opposite direction of our room, but stopped dead when I heard an electric key fob open a door behind me.
I turned, knowing exactly who's door was opening the second I saw a figure there. I shouted for Daniel, not even checking to see if he was coming before running towards the room, pinning the door open before it closed, grabbing Pierre by the arm and pushing him down onto the floor.
'I fucking hate you!' I shouted, not thinking about what my fists were doing or how hard I was hitting him, just knowing that he should be dead.
I heard Lewis shout behind me, Lando walking past us to go into Mia's room, Leo now barking hysterically.
'Leave her alone. Please.' I begged, still punching, only stopping when Daniel pulled me away, leaving me sat outside of the room on the floor.
Security rushed into the room, pulling Pierre's almost lifeless body from it, leaving us all in silence, Lando's supportive words the only thing we could hear.
'You could have killed him.' Lewis said, out of breath, sitting down besides me.
'That was the aim.'
'You need to go and see her.' Lando said, coming from the bedroom, closing the door behind him.
'I just need to sort myself out.' I grumbled, looking at all of the blood covering my hands and face.
Daniel took me to his bathroom, sitting on the side as I scrubbed at my hands, literally open wounds.
I needed to get her away now. I didn't care what anyone else had to say. I was retiring at the end of the season, and she was going to stay away until all of this was over.
'Let my pilot know that we're coming.' I said, Daniel not responding, but picking up his phone to make a call.
When the blood was gone, Danny helped me patch them up, neither of us saying a word to eachother as he did it. I was so angry, I didn't know what to do.
I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream, i just didn't know how to make it better. If Idve been 5 minutes later who knows what would have happened. This sport wasn't enjoyable for either of us anymore, I feared for her life whenever I was away from her.
'Go to sleep, Charles, leave in the morning.' Daniel sighed.
'I'm going now, don't argue with me.' I snapped.
'Mia is emotional and upset and scared. She just needs to sleep. Swap rooms with me, you can both stay in here.' He insisted.
I nodded silently, too exhausted to argue, finishing up before heading to my room, to get Mia. She was tucked up asleep with our puppy, tears stained her face.
I sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at her, feeling so much guilt towards what had happened to her recently. She didn't deserve me. She deserved better. I had gotten her hurt so many times.
I shook that thought from my head, climbing into bed with her, holding her close. She was asleep and wouldn't want to move, I didn't want to risk waking her up and upsetting her again. I laid awake all night, allowing her to sleep but making sure she was safe.
This wasn't good for us at all. We should be able to live a normal life.
It felt like only 10 minutes later when the sun came up, Leo jumping over me down to the floor, where his water bowl was.
The movement must've woken her, as I felt her pull me closer when she realised I was with her.
'What happened?' Mia whispered, her head still in my chest.
'I sorted it.'
'Tell me.' She said bluntly.
'Pierre was at the door, I got here just in time. He'll be gone I promise.' I responded.
'I was so scared, I just needed you.' She whispered.
My heart broke and suddenly I wondered if I had handled it right at all. I wanted to protect her, I always did, but whilst I was beating the Shit out of Pierre for the satisfaction of it, she was curled up in here, scared and upset.
I didn't say anything for fear of letting her know what I was thinking. I'd spent months absolutely traumatised, my eye on her even when I was driving on track.
To see that video of Pierre punching her the night before just unlocked something in me I forgot I had. He deserved everything that he got and if the FIA wasn't going to give it to him, I would.
'Can we go to Monaco, please?' She whispered.
I sighed a heavy sigh of relief, so glad she wanted to go back to our home for a few days, as she'd been too stubborn the day before.
'Yes my love.'
'I just want to see my brother first.' She responded.
'They'll all come with us. Nobody is driving tomorrow, we can all spend a week in Monaco if that's what you'd like?' I asked.
'All of us? Really? There's a lot.' She laughed.
'They can stay in the house down the road, I want it to be just us every single night from now on, but they can be with us all day?' I bargained.
She smiled.
'Deal.'
'And we get to show Leo his new home.' I said, getting up from bed, picking up my boy and holding him close, allowing him to lick at my hands.
'You're so perfect.' She smiled up at me.
'You're so perfect, love.' I said, leaning down to kiss her, holding her by the chin.
She frowned at the bandages on my hands but didn't say anything. I hadn't told her what had happened out there, but now I was sure she has figured it out.
'You're going to kill someone one day, it's not worth your job.' She sighed.
'I'm out of this job by the end of this season, and then I want to give you the life and the family you deserve.'
